Our core product is a multi-tenant ERP platform covering areas such as sales, inventory, accounting, payroll, electronic invoicing, CRM, analytics, integrations, and automation.

As we continue growing, we are also expanding our capacity to support larger enterprise and institutional technology projects.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is comfortable working across modern and legacy enterprise systems, troubleshooting production issues, maintaining business-critical applications, and building new functionality when needed.

This is not a role focused on a single product or technology.

You may work on:

• Enterprise client applications

• Production support and incident resolution

• Java-based enterprise platforms

• APIs and integrations

• Databases and data-related issues

• Cloud infrastructure and deployment troubleshooting

• Application modernization and technical improvements

We are looking for someone who can move comfortably between development, debugging, support, and technical problem-solving.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and resolve complex application and production issues

• Develop, maintain, and improve enterprise applications

• Work with Java-based systems and backend services

• Support web applications built with modern JavaScript/TypeScript technologies

• Investigate application logs, database issues, API failures, and infrastructure-related incidents

• Participate in root cause analysis for production incidents

• Implement and test bug fixes and enhancements

• Support controlled deployments to testing and production environments

• Work with SQL databases and troubleshoot data inconsistencies

• Review existing codebases and understand unfamiliar systems quickly

• Create technical documentation, deployment instructions, and troubleshooting procedures

• Collaborate with QA, support, project management, and client teams

• Help improve engineering standards, automation, monitoring, and development practices across WELLFLEX

• Participate in an agreed on-call rotation for critical production incidents when required

What We’re Looking For

• Strong professional experience with Java

• Solid backend development fundamentals

• Strong SQL and relational database experience

• Experience debugging production applications

• Experience working with REST APIs and system integrations

• Comfortable working with Linux and application servers

• Strong Git and software development workflow knowledge

• Ability to understand and maintain existing or legacy codebases

• Ability to independently investigate technical problems instead of relying on step-by-step instructions

• Good written technical documentation skills

• Comfortable working in environments where different technologies and generations of software coexist

You do not need to know every technology listed above.

We care more about strong engineering fundamentals, troubleshooting ability, ownership, and your ability to learn unfamiliar systems quickly.

What Success Looks Like

You should be comfortable receiving a production issue such as:

> “This functionality stopped working in production and we need to understand why.”

…and independently moving from logs, code, infrastructure, database queries, and reproduction steps toward a root cause and safe resolution.

At the same time, when client support demand is low, you will contribute directly to WELLFLEX’s own products, architecture, technical debt reduction, performance improvements, integrations, and new functionality.

Availability

This role requires reliable availability during agreed service periods and participation in critical incident response when necessary.

We do not expect someone to sit in front of a computer 24/7. However, because some of the systems we support can be business-critical, we are looking for someone who is comfortable being part of a shared on-call escalation model for genuinely critical incidents.
