About the Role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who brings strong frontend systems judgment while remaining comfortable contributing across the stack. You will help improve how our organization builds, maintains, and ships frontend experiences while continuing to operate within a collaborative fullstack engineering culture. This is not a traditional front-end-only role. We are intentionally hiring a frontend-leaning fullstack engineer because we believe frontend quality should be embedded into how the entire engineering organization operates. You will help define the systems, standards, and tooling that allow Exacare to continue shipping quickly while maintaining a high-quality customer experience across every surface area of the product. What You’ll Do Scale the frontend architecture to support contributions from a growing engineering organization Build high-quality, responsive, data-rich user experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile Collaborate closely with design, product, operations, and engineering teams on new and existing workflows Improve consistency and maintainability across frontend systems and shared components Help define and enforce frontend best practices around component architecture, design system consumption, responsiveness, accessibility, and maintainability Expand and improve Storybook coverage and component documentation Introduce tooling and automated review guardrails for common frontend code smells and quality issues Contribute across the stack, including backend APIs and platform improvements where needed Mentor engineers and raise the overall quality bar across the organization What You’ll Bring 4+ years of experience building applications with React.js 2+ years of experience with Node.js, Python, or a similar backend language 2+ years building high-traffic web applications in a startup environment 2+ years of responsive web development across browsers, tablets, and mobile devices 2+ years of experience working with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP Strong product and UX instincts with a systems-oriented approach to frontend engineering Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product and design teams Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field Familiarity with UI toolkits such as Chakra UI or Material UI Exposure to Storybook for documenting UI components Familiarity with observability tools such as Sentry, Bugsnag, or Datadog Exposure to end-to-end testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Puppeteer Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL Interest in AI-assisted development workflows and documentation practices Benefits + Perks Competitive salary and equity in a high-growth startup Flexible PTO, take what you need Medical, dental, and vision coverage Great startup culture, including company off-sites High-achieving team, including ex-Amazon engineers and alumni of Bain, BCG, Goldman Sachs, and more An insight into our Core Values Only the Best Belong Here We are unapologetic about talent.
