Company Overview

Docusign brings agreements to life. Over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people’s lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).

What you'll do

As the Senior Software Engineer, Applications Engineering, your role will be to architect, develop and build robust technology solutions that scale the Finance processes, and related systems. This involves close collaboration with teams across Business Transformation, Application Engineering, Application Product Management, Docusign Product, Data, and Integration teams.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Application Engineering - Finance.

Responsibility

  • Architect, develop, integrate, and deploy enterprise-grade technical solutions—including custom extensions, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations, and Agentic AI workflows—for Oracle Fusion Finance Record-to-Report and Acquire-to-Retire domains
  • Design and build autonomous AI agents to automate manual processes across General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Indirect Tax, and Project Costing modules
  • Construct scalable architectures and functional prototypes leveraging Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks, and MLOps to drive intelligent conversational insights and predictive financial forecasting
  • Engineer high-throughput, event-driven inbound and outbound integrations utilizing Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, and File-Based Data Import (FBDI)
  • Establish robust observability and reliability engineering frameworks for integrations, prioritizing idempotent processing, automated fault handling, comprehensive logging, and real-time operational telemetry
  • Automate core Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) operational tasks—including batch scheduling, regression testing, and environment refreshes—via standardized CI/CD pipelines to advance Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) maturity
  • Develop tailored technical extensions (utilizing PL/SQL, Java/Groovy, VBCS, and OCI) in strict compliance with enterprise software engineering, code quality, and security standards
  • Evaluate and implement native Oracle platform capabilities (such as Subledger Accounting, BI Publisher, OTBI, BPM workflows, and Agent Studio) to fulfill complex business requirements while proactively mitigating technical debt
  • Oversee the end-to-end Record-to-Report solution delivery lifecycle, encompassing requirements analysis, architectural governance, technical documentation, and Tier-3 production engineering support
