Your future contribution

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer (PHP) to join our Checkout team. You will play an essential role in our platform’s success by joining the team responsible for enhancing the checkout process and post booking experience. Your expertise in PHP development will be instrumental in delivering seamless user experiences and optimizing the booking flow for our users.

What you'll tackle first

How you’ll add value

• Taking end-to-end ownership of features, from refinement to production, including engineering decisions on larger topics
• Designing and build entire applications, partnering with architects to ensure the scalability, reliability and usability of our Marketplace products
• Working with business stakeholders to define requirements, plan milestones and iterate on features based on measured performance
• Contributing to technical and architectural standards across the company
• Mentoring teammates and take part in hiring
• Working with a broad stack including PHP, SQL databases, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, SQS, Kubernetes and AWS

You’ll be successful in this role if you

• Have at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Are an expert in PHP and Symfony
• Have an experience building scalable, distributed systems
• Are knowledgable of relational databases
• Posses an experience designing APIs and integrating with third-party systems
• Worked with LLM-based tools, both as a user and as an engineer building AI-driven solutions
• Feel comfortable with working directly with business stakeholders
• Show a working proficiency in English
• Have a habit of continuous learning and a team-player mindset
