Senior Software Engineer | TypeScript & AI | Paris
TracklabIn Short
Build the features. Shape the data model. See your work used every day.
Tracklab is hiring a full-stack engineer to build a platform that 120+ industrial companies rely on daily to manage supplier and product compliance data.
You’ll join a small team of 4 engineers, 2 product people and an AI Engineer, working directly with Quentin, our Tech Lead.
What makes this role interesting?
🧱 Real data challenges. Products, suppliers, documents, versions and audit trails. The complexity goes well beyond the interface.
🚀 End-to-end ownership. Challenge the spec, propose an approach and take features from data modeling through to production monitoring.
🤖 AI in your daily workflow. Bring your tools, question their output and help the team build better ways to code, test and review.
🤝 A direct voice in what gets built. Work daily with Product and Engineering to turn complex operational needs into software people can use confidently.
You could be a good fit if you have 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, strong TypeScript and SQL skills, and a track record of owning features beyond release. You already code with AI and can explain where it falls short.

Tracklab 🏭
🚀 Our mission: Tracklab is building the system of record for regulated supply chains.
Today, in critical industries such as food & beverage, chemicals, packaging, flavors & fragrances, animal nutrition and pharma, compliance data still moves through emails, PDFs and Excel files.
As regulations accelerate across Europe and globally (technical data, product safety, sustainability frameworks & ESG), this creates:
- Major regulatory exposure
- Product recalls costing hundreds of thousands to millions of euros
- Poor data reliability
- Heavy operational friction
Tracklab provides the infrastructure layer that allows industrial companies to collect, structure, validate and securely share trusted supplier and product data in an auditable, AI-native way.
100+
industrial clients
40k+
connected suppliers
🔥 Our ambition is simple: become the infrastructure standard companies rely on to operate in an increasingly regulated world.
Each Tracklab deployment starts as a SaaS platform implemented within a single industrial company, structuring its compliance and operational data. But the real power comes from what happens next. As companies invite their suppliers and partners onto the platform, these individual deployments connect together, forming a trusted data network across supply chains.
👥 A strong team
Tracklab was founded in the end of 2022 by:
- Nicolas Henry (Ponts & Chaussées, Columbia University, ex-Uber San Francisco)
- Fadel Bennani (HEC Paris, ex-Bain & Company)
You will report directly to Quentin, our Tech Lead, and work daily with our Product team and our AI Engineer.
The Role
The team is deliberately dense: 4 engineers and 2 product people, plus an AI Engineer. Everyone owns features end to end, from the data model to the screen the client actually uses.
⚖️ This is a full-stack, high-autonomy role.
You will not be handed tickets. You will be handed problems, and you will be expected to come back with a plan.
🇫🇷🇺🇸 The main language is French, but English proficiency is a must-have.
What you'll own
🚀 Features, end to end
From the spec review to production monitoring. You own the whole path, not a layer of it.
⚙️ Backend that holds under real load
NestJS, PostgreSQL, Redis. Clean APIs, honest error handling, no magic.
🤖 An AI-assisted workflow
You code with AI every day and you know exactly where it is wrong. You help the team get better at it.
🧱 The core data model
Products, suppliers, documents, versions, audit trails. The hardest part of our platform is not the UI, it is the model underneath.
🖥️ Interfaces people use all day
React and Next.js. Our users spend six hours a day in Tracklab. It has to be fast and it has to be obvious.
⚡ A quality bar we automate
Tests, review, checks in CI. We would rather teach an agent to catch a class of bug than catch it by hand twice. You will build that tooling, not just use it.
Most important qualities for this role at Tracklab
- You ship. You have a track record of features that went to production and stayed there
- You are pragmatic about quality: you know the difference between the corner that can be cut and the one that will cost six months
- You challenge the spec. When something does not make sense, you say so before you build it, not after
- You are comfortable in a codebase you did not write, in a domain you do not know yet
- You use AI as a real multiplier and you read every line it produces
- Entrepreneurial mindset: you thrive in a fast-moving environment where the answer is rarely written down anywhere
Skills & experience
Must haves
- 3+ years of professional software engineering, including at least one company with a serious engineering culture
- Strong TypeScript, on both sides of the stack
- Solid relational data modeling and SQL. You can design a schema, not just query one
- You already code with AI daily (Claude Code, Cursor or equivalent) and you can explain where it fails
- Clear written communication in French and English
- You have owned features end to end, including what happened after the release
Nice to haves
- NestJS and Next.js in production
- GCP, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines
- Python
- B2B SaaS with deep data models: PLM, PIM, ERP, MES, QMS or similar
- Experience in agri-food, cosmetics, chemicals or another regulated industry
Our stack
TypeScript everywhere. NestJS on the backend, React / Next.js on the frontend, PostgreSQL (Cloud SQL) and Redis. Infrastructure on GCP, managed with Terraform. Python for our AI and data work. GitHub for everything.
