Senior Solutions Architect
Location: Japan – fully remote
Salary: US$160-200K / JPY 24.5m-27.5m plus 30-50% bonus and excellent benefits package
Rolling Contract: Renewal every 12 months via EOR
About the Opportunity
Join a global enterprise infrastructure technology business supporting some of the world’s most demanding HPC, AI/ML, Enterprise Linux and hybrid cloud environments.
This is a senior, customer-facing technical role supporting enterprise customers across Japan throughout technical discovery, solution design, proof of concept, deployment and adoption.
Key Requirements
You will be an experienced Solutions Architect, Technical Pre-Sales Engineer or Systems Engineer with:
- 7+ years’ relevant experience
- Expert-level Linux knowledge
- Strong containerisation and systems integration experience
- Exposure to HPC, AI/ML, hybrid cloud or performance-intensive infrastructure
- Experience supporting complex enterprise technology sales
- Strong solution architecture and technical discovery skills
- Experience delivering demos, workshops and proof-of-concepts
- Strong enterprise customer and stakeholder engagement skills
- Good understanding of open-source infrastructure technologies
- Fluent Japanese and strong English
- Experience working with partners, SIs or resellers advantageous
Role & Responsibilities
- Leading customer technical discovery and solution architecture
- Supporting enterprise sales opportunities alongside the Account Executive
- Delivering technical demonstrations, presentations and workshops
- Leading proof-of-concept deployments
- Advising on integration, deployment and performance optimisation
- Supporting customer adoption and expansion
- Enabling local system integrators and reseller partners
- Acting as the technical link between customers, Sales and Engineering
