What you'll do...
- The Specialist, Employee Relations, working under general direction, is responsible for supporting hourly hiring
- This role conducts daily operations related to hourly hiring, mainly focused on the administration of the centralized background check review process
- Lead the administration of the centralized hourly background check process, including:
- Process all background check, individual assessment, and former hourly reinstatement reviews through OGC and or Labor COE leadership
- Submit manual background checks and additional searches as necessary
- Log background check dispositions and activity using tracking systems, excel, etc.
- Follow orders through the FCRA process including disputes and individual assessment, through final adverse actions
- Work with plants to collect information necessary for background check processing requirements
- Perform regular audits for background check processing timing, accuracy, and other monitoring requirements
- Support data requests for labor COE metrics and background check tracking
- Serve as point of contact for Plant HR Teams and Manufacturing HR on background check-related questions
- Serve as point of contact with Background Check vendor, asking questions and raising issues as needed
- Identify opportunities to automate and drive efficiency in the background check review process
- Lead training and communications on the background check process as needed
- Support ad hoc assignments from the Job Security Team and/or Labor COE activities as required
You'll have...
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Labor Relations, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience preferably in Employee Relations, Recruiting or related field.
- Functional proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications and SharePoint.
- Problem solving / conflict resolution.
- Data analysis / data presentation.
- Project management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication including presentation skills.
- Ability to build consensus with stakeholders.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
