We are looking for an experienced SQL Server consultant to support and lead customer engagements in the US. Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical point of contact for customers.
- Build strong relationships with customer IT and engineering teams.
- Provide senior-level SQL Server troubleshooting, performance tuning, and technical guidance.
- Lead or participate in architecture, upgrade, migration, high availability, disaster recovery, and modernization discussions.
- Step into complex or urgent database issues when senior expertise is needed.
- Translate customer priorities and technical concerns into clear actions for the broader engineering team.
- Coordinate effectively with remote DBAs and specialists responsible for ongoing operational support.
- Identify risks, improvement opportunities, and practical next steps within customer environments.
- Strong customer-facing communication and relationship skills.
- 7+ years of SQL Server administration, engineering, or consulting experience.
- Strong SQL Server troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
- Solid understanding of high availability, clustering, backup and recovery, security, and production operations.
- Ability to independently evaluate technical issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Experience working across application, infrastructure, and database teams.
- Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS.
- Consulting or managed services experience is strongly preferred.
- SQL Server migrations and modernization.
- PowerShell or other automation.
- SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, virtualization, and storage.
- Experience supporting multiple customers or environments.
