Position Description
The Senior Account Executive is responsible for the overall growth, management, and success of several multi-million-dollar strategic accounts. This role serves as the primary executive liaison between the customer and the organization, ensuring customer satisfaction, contract performance, revenue growth, and successful delivery of complex technology initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong business development, account management, and sales proposal expertise with proven project and program management experience to align customer objectives with organizational capabilities.
The Senior Account Executive develops trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, identifies opportunities for expansion, oversees contract execution, and coordinates cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of technology, infrastructure, cloud, and business transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Strategic Account Management
- Own and manage a multi-million-dollar account portfolio, driving customer retention, growth, and long-term strategic partnerships.
- Serve as the executive point of contact for customer leadership, key stakeholders, technology teams, and business sponsors.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans that align customer objectives with company solutions and services.
- Identify and expand revenue opportunities through new projects, service offerings, renewals, and contract expansions.
- Lead account reviews, executive briefings, and strategic planning sessions.
- Mentor team members and promote best practices in account management and project delivery.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build trusted relationships with C-level executives, department leaders, finance teams, and technology stakeholders.
- Act as the customer advocate while balancing organizational objectives and profitability goals.
- Facilitate communications between customers, technical teams, project managers, and service delivery organizations.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and issue resolution.
- Monitor program health and provide executive-level reporting on project status, risks, milestones, and financial performance.
- Contract & Financial Management
- Manage contracts, statements of work (SOWs), change orders, project budgets, and customer commitments.
- Lead negotiations related to project scope, service delivery, pricing, renewals, and contract modifications.
- Maintain accountability for revenue forecasts, profitability targets, and account performance metrics.
- Leadership & Team Coordination
- Lead cross-functional teams including project managers, consultants, engineers, business analysts, and vendor partners.
- Coordinate and develop relationships with implementation partners, subcontractors, manufacturers, distributors, and third-party vendors to ensure project success.
- Drive accountability for project deliverables, resource planning, and customer commitments.
- Assist customers in identifying operational efficiencies, cost savings, and technology advancements.
Workplace: We are offering full-time employment plus comprehensive benefits package. This position is a hybrid role with limited travel required and open to candidates in the greater Jacksonville, FL area.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
A seasoned business and technology leader with a proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar client relationships and projects, leading complex transformational programs, overseeing large budgets, negotiating contracts, and aligning executive stakeholder objectives with successful project delivery. Combines the relationship management skills of a Strategic Account Executive with the delivery leadership and governance capabilities of a Senior Program Manager or PMO Director.
Must Have Skills:
- 10+ years of experience managing enterprise or public-sector customer relationships
- Demonstrated success overseeing large-scale technology implementation and transformation programs
- Experience managing contracts, project budgets, statements of work, and vendor relationships
Preferred Skills:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field preferred
