Why join our team?Tizen OS is the leading platform for content consumption in the living room. The team in Europe is composed of Product Managers, Partner Managers and Technical Account Managers. All are responsible for:
- Growing and maintaining a diverse and cutting-edge Tizen ecosystem. We negociate, implement and manage partnerships with key ecosystem players, including media, gaming, telco companies as well as cultural institutions.
- Developing the Tizen footprint across Europe. We negociate, implement and manage partnerships with key retailers and OEMs that leverage Tizen OS for their devices.
We work very closely with our Samsung Ads and Samsung TV Plus colleagues, and the three teams together comprise ESBO, the European Services Business Office, based at Eighty, The Strand, Central London.
Role and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
Samsung Electronics is seeking a high-calibre Senior Strategic Business Development Manager to join our European Smart TV Business Development Team. Serving as the primary executive contact for major European partners, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the growth of our content and services ecosystem while driving adoption of Samsung’s advanced platform capabilities.
Commercial Negotiations: Structure and close complex, high-value content distribution and licensing agreements across single- and multi-territory European markets.
Strategic Roadmap: Define and execute market-specific partnership strategies aligned with overarching business objectives.
Partner Management & Growth: Cultivate executive-level partner relationships and oversee day-to-day account management with a focus on engagement, distribution, and revenue growth.
Subsidiary Enablement: Advise and collaborate with European subsidiaries to align local and regional partner initiatives.
Market Leadership & Advocacy: Serve as an internal and external subject matter expert on OTT/CTV trends, advocating for high-impact partner opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Global HQ (Korea) to align strategic priorities and streamline delivery.
Performance & Analytics: Define, monitor, and optimize partnership KPIs, mobilizing cross-functional resources to surpass targets.
Executive Communication: Produce strategic business plans, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and senior leadership presentations.
Travel: Undertake international travel as required to engage partners and support local subsidiary teams.

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Industry Experience: Proven track record in commercial negotiation, deal structuring, and strategic account management within digital content distribution, Connected TV (CTV), OTT platforms, broadcast networks, major studios, or telecommunications predominantly within the Eastern European markets.
Organizational Agility: Demonstrated success navigating matrixed, global organizations and driving results amidst ambiguity.
Domain Expertise: Deep passion for emerging consumer technology, streaming media trends, and evolving monetization models.
Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical, consultative, and persuasive communication skills.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced competency in business productivity tools (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
