Senior Strategic Investment Partner Shape Phorest’s next chapter by partnering with the CEO and leadership team to assess acquisitions, markets and partnerships that drive meaningful long-term growth. The Opportunity We're hiring a Senior Strategic Investment Partner to work directly with our CEO and Executive Leadership Team on the strategic decisions that will shape Phorest's long-term growth. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role that sits within the CEO Office. You'll combine strategic analysis, corporate development and commercial insight to evaluate growth opportunities, whether that's acquisitions, new markets, partnerships or adjacent business opportunities. You'll build the business cases, develop the financial models and shape the recommendations that help our leadership team make the right calls. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on complex strategic challenges, is energised by working at the intersection of strategy and commercial execution, and wants to have a genuine impact on the direction of a growing business. You'll bring structure to how we evaluate opportunities while building trusted relationships across the business and with external partners. What You'll Do Strategic analysis & market insights Lead strategic research, market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify and evaluate growth opportunities Translate industry trends, competitive dynamics and market shifts into clear, actionable recommendations for the leadership team Partner with the CEO and ELT to provide data-driven recommendations that inform business direction Corporate development & investment Build and maintain a pipeline of acquisition opportunities, conducting commercial and financial assessments to prioritise investment decisions Develop valuation models, investment papers and strategic recommendations that support executive and Board-level decision-making Lead end-to-end business case development for acquisitions, new markets, partnerships and adjacent growth opportunities Stakeholder engagement & influence Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, founders, advisors and external partners to support corporate development initiatives Partner with Finance, Product and business leaders to evaluate strategic opportunities and risks Distil complex analysis into clear, compelling recommendations tailored to executive and Board audiences Capability building Develop investment methodologies and best practices that improve strategic decision-making across Phorest Build investment assessment capability across the business by developing frameworks, sharing best practices and enabling teams to make stronger strategic decisions Who You Are 5-8 years' experience in corporate strategy, corporate development, investment analysis, management consulting or a related role Strong financial modelling and business case development skills; you're comfortable building models from scratch and pressure-testing assumptions Proven experience conducting market research, competitive analysis and strategic planning Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and presenting complex analysis to executive or Board-level audiences Experience with M&A, due diligence or corporate development processes is a strong plus Commercially minded - you balance financial rigour with practical business insight A strategic thinker who connects the dots between market trends, business context and long-term opportunity Comfortable working independently on complex, ambiguous challenges with minimal direction Curious and growth-oriented, you actively seek feedback and continuously improve your approach A strong communicator who can make complex ideas land clearly with different audiences Collaborative and relationship-driven, you build trust across functions and with external partners Proactive, you take initiative and deliver high-quality work Benefits 🧘 Your wellbeing is important to us - we provide private healthcare, 2 Wellness Days, an employee assistance program and a free online GP service. 💰 As part of our Financial Wellbeing, we provide competitive Compensation, an Employee Share Purchase Scheme, Pension, Life Assurance, and Income Protection. 🚵🏿 We help you travel by providing a bike to work scheme as well as tax saver transport tickets. 🦸‍♀️ We support the women who work in Phorest by offering 2 weeks leave for Fertility Treatment, Pregnancy Loss and Menopause. 🍼 We care for your family and provide Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Benefits. 🌳 We grow our own timber!
