The Senior Strategy Advancement Professional provides data-driven strategic support to identify, evaluate, and resolve complex business challenges and opportunities. This role combines strategy, operations, business intelligence, project execution, and cross-functional partnership to help leaders make informed decisions aligned to enterprise priorities and consumer experience outcomes.
The role requires strong business acumen, structured problem-solving, sound judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity. The Senior Strategy Advancement Professional translates data, insights, and stakeholder input into clear recommendations, actionable plans, and measurable outcomes.
The Senior Strategy Advancement Professional leads and supports strategic initiatives that improve business performance, operational effectiveness, and execution transparency. This role partners with sales, retail, finance, and both internal and external stakeholders to evaluate opportunities, interpret trends, develop strategic recommendations, and support execution from concept through implementation.
This individual may support process improvement, initiative intake, prioritization, performance tracking, value measurement, and executive-level reporting. The role also helps identify opportunities to streamline work, improve reporting, automate manual processes, and strengthen project flow across initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support strategic initiatives that address complex business problems, operational opportunities, and enterprise priorities.
Analyze internal and external data to identify trends, develop insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Partner with analytics, finance, operations, technology, and business leaders to forecast, evaluate, and measure initiative impact.
Support transformational initiatives by managing workstreams, project flow, milestones, risks, dependencies, documentation, and stakeholder communications.
Prepare executive-level presentations, strategic narratives, business cases, status updates, and decision-support materials.
Support initiative summaries, strategic alignment, MVP definition, risks, dependencies, forecasted value, and success measures.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to improve organizational effectiveness, execution discipline, business outcomes, and consumer experiences.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting, automate manual work, and strengthen operational execution.
Engage subject matter experts and business partners to support analysis, planning, issue resolution, and decision-making.
Help ensure alignment between business activities, policies, procedures, operational priorities, and enterprise strategy.
Influence departmental strategy through structured analysis, planning support, performance insights, and clear recommendations.
Communicate clearly and confidently with leaders and stakeholders through written materials, presentations, and facilitated discussions.
Operate as a collaborative team player while independently managing multiple priorities in an environment with ambiguity and shifting needs.

Required Qualifications
Five or more years of relevant experience in strategy, operations, analytics, business planning, project management, consulting, transformation, technical delivery, or complex business problem-solving.
Experience supporting strategic initiatives, business planning, project execution, operational improvement, or cross-functional workstreams.
Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze information, identify trends, develop recommendations, and connect work to measurable business outcomes.
Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to advance business priorities and resolve complex issues.
Ability to operate independently on moderately complex to complex assignments with minimal direction.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track progress, maintain project flow, and meet deadlines.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex information clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in business, management, healthcare administration, or a related field.
Three or more years of experience leading cross-functional teams or driving strategic, transformational, operational, portfolio, or project-based initiatives.
Experience in healthcare, strategy, business planning, operations, transformation, portfolio management, project management, management consulting, or related functions.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including executive-level storytelling, business cases, strategic recommendations, presentation design, or decision-support materials.
Familiarity with Agile, Lean Portfolio Management, enterprise portfolio management, initiative intake, prioritization, OKRs, value measurement, process improvement, automation, or workflow efficiency practices.
Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$86,300 - $118,700 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
