Senior Structural Engineer (Part Time)

Position Overview

BlueDez Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Part-Time Structural Steel Design Engineer to support and oversee daily engineering operations. This role is ideal for a senior structural professional with strong technical expertise in structural steel design who is looking for a flexible leadership position.

The ideal candidate will combine deep engineering knowledge with organizational and operational management skills to ensure efficient project execution and high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare structural steel design calculations, connection designs, and drawings.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards (AISC, IBC, ASCE, etc.).

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in Structural Steel Design.
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ASCE 7, IBC, and related standards.
• Experience with connection design and steel detailing coordination.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RAM, RISA, STAAD, ETABS, or similar).
• Strong leadership and English communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with steel fabricators and industrial projects.
• Familiarity with estimating and proposal development.
