Senior System Architect
T&S (Technology & Strategy)We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior System Architect (HV Inverter & Power Electronics) to join our customer's team in Luxembourg. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of system architectures, concept definition, and technical leadership for advanced High Voltage (HV) Inverter and Electrified Powertrain Systems. You will act as a key technical interface between customers and cross-functional engineering teams, ensuring robust system solutions throughout the product lifecycle in a dynamic international automotive environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the development and delivery of system architectural designs for HV Inverter and Electrified Powertrain functions.
- Define system concepts, requirements, and technical solutions considering performance, quality, cost, timing, and customer expectations.
- Act as the primary technical focal point for customers and lead technical discussions throughout project execution.
- Coordinate and drive cross-functional development teams including Hardware, Software, Calibration, Safety, and Test Engineering.
- Lead system integration activities and ensure alignment between different engineering disciplines.
- Perform root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and defect investigations at system level.
- Drive Functional Safety activities including Technical Safety Concepts, SFMEA, FTA, and ISO 26262 compliance.
- Support vehicle testing, validation activities, and technical reviews.
- Assess technical risks and define mitigation plans for critical project issues.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams.
- Prepare and communicate technical status reports to customers and project stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Strong experience in Automotive System Engineering, preferably within HV Inverter, Power Electronics, or Electrified Powertrain domains.
- Proven expertise in System Architecture development and System Integration.
- Strong knowledge of HV Inverter functions, Motor Control Strategies, and Electric Propulsion Systems.
- Hands-on experience with Functional Safety according to ISO 26262.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience leading complex technical topics and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Customer-facing experience and ability to manage technical stakeholder discussions.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong technical documentation and reporting capabilities.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working for Automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers such as BorgWarner, Bosch, Vitesco, Continental, Valeo, ZF, or similar organizations.
- Knowledge of High Voltage Safety requirements and Electrified Powertrain architectures.
- Experience with Polarion, JIRA, Enterprise Architect, MATLAB, and Simulink.
- German language skills.
- Experience participating in vehicle testing and validation activities.
- Background in automotive product development within international environments.
- Strong leadership and mentoring experience within engineering organizations.
Additional Information
- 6-month assignment.
- Remote working model available.
- Business trips to Luxembourg required approximately once every two weeks.
