Senior Systems Administrator

What success looks like in this role: Administer and support ClearPath OS2200 environments across installation, configuration, daily operations, and lifecycle management. Monitor system health, performance, availability, and capacity to maintain stable, secure, and efficient operations. Lead system upgrades, patching, maintenance, and environment changes using controlled ITIL change management practices. Configure and support core platform services including TCP/IP networking, batch processing, printing, storage, tape, and security controls. Analyze system performance trends, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement tuning improvements to optimize throughput and resilience. Support integration with database, middleware, transaction, and application workloads across customer environments. Develop and maintain automation, monitoring, scripts, and operational tooling to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Respond to incidents, participate in on-call support, and provide escalation management during critical outages or service disruptions. Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials. Partner with internal teams and customers to deliver reliable managed services, support disaster recovery readiness, and drive continuous service improvement. Support installation of Plateau / Firmware, upgrades and IC’s. Able to create or update an SCMS II config.
