PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

The Senior Systems Engineer provides advanced technical expertise in the design, configuration, integration, and support of Digital Quality platforms, including Document Management (DMS), Quality Management (QMS), and Learning Management (LMS) systems.

This role requires direct engagement in hands-on technical execution across multiple domains—including application configuration, integration engineering, and data analysis—and is expected to independently diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. The role operates as a core member of the technical delivery team, ensuring solutions are technically sound, stable, and aligned with business and compliance requirements.

  • Design, configure, and support DMS, QMS, and LMS platforms (Veeva QualityDocs, Veeva QMS, SuccessFactors Learning)
  • Deliver scalable, compliant, and high-performing technical solutions aligned with Global Supply & Quality and Digital Quality objectives
  • Design, build, and maintain new and existing integrations across Digital Quality platforms (DMS, QMS, LMS) and upstream/downstream systems
  • Execute and adapt across a broad range of technical responsibilities—including configuration, integration, data analysis, and troubleshooting—to support system releases, issue resolution, and optimize platforms

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Translate defined business and technical requirements into scalable system configurations, integrations, and enhancements across DMS, QMS and LMS platforms
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to shape and refine requirements, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with platform capabilities
  • Configure and enhance platform capabilities, including data structures, workflows, business rules, and security models, to support evolving business processes and compliance needs
  • Design and implement integration solutions, including data flows, transformation logic, mapping rules and integration patterns (e.g., APIs, middleware such as SAP CPI/BTP, and SFTP-based interfaces), ensuring reliable and scalable data exchange across systems
  • Support system releases and enhancements, including preparation and maintenance of required documentation (e.g., technical design specifications, procedures, manuals, test scripts)
  • Execute validation activities (IQ, OQ, regression) in support of system releases and enhancements, ensuring compliance with GxP, data integrity and validation requirements
  • Coordinate deployments and monitor post-release performance and stabilization for system releases and enhancements
  • Analyze, validate, and reconcile data across platforms and integration layers to ensure accuracy, consistency, and data integrity
  • Investigate and resolve complex system, integration, and data-related issues; perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence
  • Monitor system and integration performance, proactively identifying risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization
  • Partner with upstream and downstream system teams to align on interface design, data dependencies, and change impacts
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to team members, contributing to continuous improvement of engineering practices
  • Support vendor and partner activities related to platform enhancements, integrations, and issue resolution
