Senior Technical Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Technical Analyst to support a major AML monitoring project within the financial services sector. You will manage and enhance AML detection scenarios to address existing and emerging financial crime risks.

Work setup: Hybrid in Brussels, Belgium – 50% on-site and 50% remote.

Responsibilities:

• Translate AML risk analyses into effective detection scenarios in collaboration with Business Analysts.
• Write SAS scripts and use historical data simulations to test and refine scenario logic.
• Review simulation results with AML stakeholders and validate scenario effectiveness.
• Configure detection scenarios in NetReveal or develop SAS-based detection scripts.
• Test configurations and scripts in test environments and deploy them to production.
• Maintain audit trail documentation and ensure full development traceability.
• Support change management activities for L1 and L2 operational teams.
• Perform aftercare analysis, including alert volume and relevance monitoring.

Must-have requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant experience as a Technical Analyst.
• Several years of professional experience in the AML domain.
• Strong experience with NetReveal, particularly Scenario Manager.
• Hands-on experience with SAS Enterprise Guide and SQL.
• Experience with SAP BusinessObjects.
• Master’s degree.
• Sound written and spoken English. Professional written and spoken proficiency in French or Dutch.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional Agile team.
