Senior Technical Architect – Madrid (Híbrido)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Architect to join a leading international organization based in Madrid, with a hybrid working model of 2 days per week in the office.

You will work closely with the CIO team, supporting key local and group-wide strategic programs while ensuring the consistency of the information systems ecosystem and its alignment with business needs.

This is a key role for someone looking to influence architecture decisions in a context involving multi-regional infrastructures, cloud transformation, and AI.

What will you do?

• Support the CIO team across strategic programs, including Cloud Transformation, AI and Agentic Solutions, API Management, IT Security, and Workplace.
• Provide Enterprise Architecture services to ensure the consistency of the information systems ecosystem.
• Support Application Asset Management and the strategy and planning for technology renewal (IT Refresh) across platforms and infrastructure.
• Lead Design Authority and Architecture Review Board (ARB) governance, in alignment with other local governance bodies.
• Ensure alignment with corporate and group-wide standards.
• Define application architecture paradigms, including API and service-oriented architectures, as well as design principles and patterns that provide proven solutions.
• Support the design and implementation of projects, driving innovation whenever possible.
• Ensure the definition of Business Vision, Value Chain, Blueprint, and Roadmap.
• Lead solution architecture analysis and design, ensuring end-to-end integration and security.
• Prepare governance deliverables, including Design Authority Terms of Reference, meeting minutes, and ARB/ASB decision documentation.

What are we looking for?

• 8+ years of experience in technical architecture.
• Experience as a Technical Architect within large organizations with multi-regional infrastructures.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture concepts.
• Solid knowledge of infrastructure and Windows/Linux systems.
• Good understanding of data management, including data structures, tools, and large-scale processing.
• Knowledge of DevOps concepts (CI/CD).
• Ability to define target architectures covering security, data, networking, integration, implementation standards, cloud, and containers.
• Ability to validate solutions in environments with high security requirements.

Nice to have

• CISSP certification.
• CSA / CSSA certification.

Languages

• English: mandatory.
• Spanish: a plus.
