The client: a global financial markets data and infrastructure group.

The team: Platform Engineering, behind a flagship financial data and analytics platform used by financial professionals worldwide.

This is not a traditional project management role. You’re measured on customer and business outcomes, delivery health and technical credibility, not on whether the Gantt chart stayed green.

What you’ll own

• End-to-end delivery of product initiatives, from shaping and discovery through build, release and operational adoption
• Integrated delivery plans and backlogs across several teams, with cross-team dependencies and risks actively reduced
• Quality and release readiness: clear acceptance criteria, testing strategy, monitoring, supportability and rollback
• Delivery metrics used to find constraints and improve predictability, throughput and quality, so teams move from status reporting to insight-led decisions
• Executive-grade communication and governance forums, plus product budget and financial reviews where applicable
• Coaching teams and peers to raise delivery maturity and shape shared delivery standards

What we’re looking for

• A track record delivering complex, cross-functional software or platform initiatives in a product-led engineering environment
• Strong SDLC fluency across environments, releases, quality and operability
• Credibility in architecture discussions, technical debt and trade-offs. Engineers take you seriously.
• Evidence that you’ve improved ways of working, not just executed existing plans
• Experience with senior stakeholders, governance and risk frameworks in large, matrixed organisations
• Programmes delivered over multiple quarters
