What You Will Do
- Lead the design and development of advanced liquid cooling systems and technologies.
- Drive prototyping, testing, and validation activities to ensure product performance and reliability.
- Apply expertise in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermal management to solve complex engineering challenges.
- Support the development of new technologies and innovative cooling solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers.
- Conduct design reviews and promote engineering best practices.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and continuous improvement.
- Support customer engagements through technical presentations, demonstrations, and product discussions.
- Represent CoolIT at industry events, standards groups, and technical forums.
Position Details
- Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid)
- Schedule: Full-time, standard business hours
- Travel: Occasional travel as required
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of thermal and mechanical engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and cooling system design.
- Experience designing products and components for manufacturing.
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, FMEA, and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting complex systems.
- Experience leading technical projects and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- P.Eng. designation or equivalent professional engineering credential.
- Experience in liquid cooling, thermal management, automotive, or related industries.
- Experience using simulation tools such as CFD and FEA.
- Experience engaging with customers, industry groups, or technical standards organizations.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical development initiatives.
- Physical Requirements of Position
- Ability to work in office, laboratory, and manufacturing environments.
- Occasional handling of prototypes, test equipment, and engineering assemblies.
Successful candidates will be required to complete pre-employment screening, including criminal record and education verification checks.
