Senior Underwriter, Middle Market (Construction and Contracting)

What it’s like to be a Northbridge Senior Underwriter Our Senior Underwriters provide complete solutions for Canadian businesses. They work closely with a wide range of broker partners to get a holistic picture of each risk and make underwriting decisions that make sense for all parties. They are passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our internal and external stakeholders and love utilizing their strong technical skills to ensure that risks are assessed properly. While they are already experts in their own field, Northbridge is committed to their ongoing growth and development. Working in a collaborative team they provide coaching, mentoring, and development for less experienced underwriters. We want your talent. If you are great at: Commercial Underwriting Problem-solving and critical thinking Building relationships with brokers Creating success in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Helping others develop through coaching and mentorship. If you have: Minimum 5 years' experience in the property and casualty industry Completed, or pursuing your CIP designation. Strong customer service background Team-first mentality Construction insurance experience is a plus. We really mean it when we say we put you first. The base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000, which reflects the expected base pay – not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position.
