Job Description Senior Underwriting Performance Manager Your Tasks Independently prepare and lead portfolio steering workshops with central and decentralized Underwriting units Analyze and assess insurance portfolios with a focus on profitability, trends, and areas for action Manage stakeholders across disciplines, countries and lines of business, ensuring alignment on analyses, measures, and steering impulses Collaborate closely with Underwriting, Portfolio Steering and other business units to discuss findings and drive the implementation of performance improvement measures Lead and/or contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at further developing global portfolio steering and data-driven performance management approaches Your Profile Degree in Business Administration/Economics, (Business) Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or a comparable quantitative field Several years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally in Underwriting, Portfolio Steering, Pricing, Reserving or Controlling Strong understanding of profitability metrics and their application in steering insurance portfolios Strong analytical skills with an affinity for data-driven approaches; additional experience with programming languages is a plus Structured working style, confident appearance, and strong communication and teamwork skills Very good English skills, both written and spoken; German skills are a plus Flexible working hours Flexitime arrangements and flexible working time models allow for a perfect work-life balance – however it suits you.
