About Massive Brush Studios
Massive Brush Studios builds high-quality games with teams that care about craft. Our environments tell stories — they're not just backdrop, they're part of the experience. We're looking for a Senior Unreal Engine Specialist who excels at both environment creation and technical workflows, taking pride in visual detail while mastering real-time engine performance and technical systems.
The Role
As a Senior Unreal Engine Specialist (Environment & Technical), you'll bridge the gap between high-end environment art and engine technical execution. You will be responsible for building, dressing, and technical setup of complex UE5 scenes — from assembling modular environments to writing shaders, setting up Blueprint systems (e.g., weather/environment systems), and ensuring real-time performance optimization.
This is a senior-level position. We expect you to work independently, handle technical challenges, hit deadlines, and collaborate seamlessly across visual and technical pipelines.
What You'll Do
- Rebuild, dress, and compose real-time environment scenes inside Unreal Engine 5 with high visual fidelity.
- Create and optimize game-ready environment assets, modular building kits, props, and real geometry layouts.
- Develop custom shaders, materials, dynamic blend materials, and Blueprint systems (e.g., dynamic weather, environmental interaction).
- Optimize assets, lights, and scenes to strictly meet draw call budgets, texture atlases, and platform performance targets.
- Collaborate closely with the Art Director and technical team to align visual targets with engine technical requirements.
- Maintain clean project structure, optimized asset pipelines, and clear technical documentation inside UE5.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in real-time environment art and technical art in Unreal Engine (shipped game or high-end real-time project credits).
- Strong expertise in Unreal Engine 5 (Level Dressing, Shaders, Material Editor, Blueprints, Lighting, and Optimization).
- Experience in 3D modeling and UV unwrapping — Blender is preferred.
- Solid experience creating high-quality real geometry assets, modular building kits, and PBR texturing pipelines (Substance Suite).
- Strong technical background in shader setup, LOD management, draw call optimization, and weather/environment systems.
- Fluent English · Same-day responsiveness.
Strong Plus
- Vietnam-based candidates or Vietnamese nationals are strongly preferred.
- Experience with LED wall setups, Virtual Production, or 180°/360° display configurations in UE.
- Procedural workflows (Houdini, Substance Designer) and advanced Blueprint architecture.
- Lighting setup (Lumen / Baked Lighting) and post-processing setup inside UE5.
Communication Requirements
- Good English — written and spoken, used daily.
- Same-day responsiveness during working hours — replies within the business day, not 24–48 hrs.
- Proactive communication — flag blockers early, don't wait to be asked.
- Async-friendly — comfortable with written updates, Slack/Discord, and video calls.
What We Offer
- Fully remote — work from anywhere in supported regions.
- Salary range: Up to $1400/month.
- Creative ownership — your environments and technical setups ship in real projects.
- Collaborative team with clear direction and feedback culture.
- Flexible hours with async-first workflow.

- Portfolio link required — ArtStation / Behringer / Video Reel preferred showing both UE environments and technical work (shaders/Blueprints). No portfolio = no review.
- Highlight 2–3 environment or technical pieces you're most proud of and your specific contribution.
- Mention your primary 3D DCC tools (e.g., Blender) and your location/time zone.
