At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients in the accounting industry.
We are seeking a Senior Tax & Accounting Associate to join our expanding team and support a U.S.-based CPA firm or accounting practice. In this role, you will apply your technical proficiency across tax preparation, bookkeeping, and financial analysis - serving as a reliable, skilled professional capable of delivering accurate, high-quality work with a high degree of independence. If you bring precision to your practice and take pride in your craft, this is the opportunity to advance your career with a team that recognizes your contributions.
Your Impact
Tax Preparation Excellence: Prepare and review a broad range of U.S. individual and business tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065, and related schedules, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
Compliance Stewardship: Manage tax compliance workflows, monitor filing deadlines, and maintain organized documentation to support timely and accurate submissions throughout the tax calendar.
Books in Order: Perform bookkeeping and accounting functions including transaction categorization, account reconciliations, and maintenance of accurate general ledgers in support of monthly and annual close processes.
Financial Insight: Conduct financial analysis and modeling tasks to support client advisory needs, including the preparation of reports, variance analyses, and projections that inform sound business decisions.
Software Proficiency: Leverage industry-leading tax and accounting platforms - including QuickBooks Online and preferred tax software such as UltraTax, CCH Axcess, Drake, or ProConnect - to deliver efficient and consistent results.
Independent Execution: Manage assigned client engagements with minimal supervision, demonstrating sound professional judgment, strong organizational discipline, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Client Communication: Correspond professionally with U.S.-based clients and internal stakeholders, providing clear updates, requesting necessary documentation, and maintaining a high standard of written and verbal communication.
What You Bring
Seasoned Experience: A minimum of 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in tax preparation and accounting, with demonstrated exposure to a U.S.-based CPA firm or accounting practice strongly preferred.
Tax Technical Depth: Proven proficiency in preparing U.S. individual and business tax returns across multiple entity types, with a thorough understanding of federal and state tax compliance requirements.
Platform Fluency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online; hands-on experience with U.S. tax software such as UltraTax, CCH Axcess, Drake, or ProConnect is highly preferred.
Excel Mastery: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to build and work with complex spreadsheets, financial models, and data analysis tools with accuracy and efficiency.
Communication Acuity: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and professionally to clients and colleagues.
Autonomous Professionalism: Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain high-quality output with minimal day-to-day supervision in a remote or offshore service environment.
Academic Foundation: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA licensure or progress toward certification is an advantage.
