Job Description
Would you like to use your research expertise to improve the mobile banking experience for more than 8 million customers?
At Rabobank, your insights can make a real difference. As a Senior UX Researcher, you uncover what drives customer behaviour and translate your findings into meaningful improvements in digital banking. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on research, challenge assumptions and help teams make better decisions about products, services and customer experiences.
You will work across Consumer Banking and Growth Acceleration, with a strong focus on creating an outstanding mobile banking experience for Generation Z.
Your team
You will join Chapter Design, Rabobank's community of designers and researchers. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, fellow researchers and business stakeholders across Consumer Banking and Growth Acceleration.
Knowledge sharing, collaboration and continuous improvement are central to the team. Together, you will strengthen research quality and help Rabobank make decisions based on genuine customer needs.
What will you do?
As a Senior UX Researcher, you take ownership of complex research initiatives, from identifying knowledge gaps to delivering actionable recommendations. You use both qualitative and quantitative methods to understand customer needs and ensure that research insights influence design and business decisions.
Your responsibilities include:
- Lead user research: Independently plan, organise and conduct complex qualitative and quantitative research projects.
- Explore customer needs: Investigate topics such as financial well-being, privacy, sustainability, AI-enabled banking and shared banking.
- Turn insights into action: Translate research findings into clear, practical recommendations for designers, product managers and business stakeholders.
- Advise and challenge: Identify research priorities, question assumptions and help stakeholders determine when additional research adds value.
- Coordinate research activities: Manage multiple research workstreams simultaneously while maintaining high research standards.
- Coach and inspire: Support designers and product managers in conducting research and contribute to strengthening research maturity across Rabobank.
A significant part of your work will focus on Growth Acceleration, where you will help shape the mobile banking experience for Generation Z.
