Senior Verification Specialist

Summary
The Senior Verifications Specialist performs all verifications functions at an advanced level, handling complex or escalated custodian contacts, serving as a subject matter resource for the team, and contributing to the accuracy and quality of the verifications process. This role supports junior team members and assists leadership in maintaining departmental performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact deponents including medical offices, hospitals, and businesses to verify service information for subpoenas at a senior level of complexity.
- Conduct thorough research to locate accurate contact information, service agents, and special instructions for difficult or unfamiliar custodians.
- Enter verified information into DAS with precision to ensure accurate subpoena issuance and service.
- Handle escalated verifications cases, including custodians with complex requirements or disputed information.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for junior verifications team members.
- Assist in training new staff on verifications workflows, DAS, and HIPAA compliance.
- Maintain and update the location database with new and corrected custodian information.
- Identify patterns in verifications challenges and escalate recommendations to the team lead or manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in verifications, records retrieval, or a related legal services role.
- Strong internet research skills and ability to identify reliable information sources.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HIPAA regulations and subpoena processes.
- Proficient in DAS and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent phone and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
- Comfortable mentoring peers and supporting team development.
The base Compensation range for this role will $18.00 - $21.00 an hour and will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
