About the Role: Everspring is looking for a bold, modern, and highly strategic Senior Vice President of Human Resources to lead and evolve our people function for our next stage of growth. The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced HR leader, and a strategic thinker who thrives in the face of challenge, finds new and innovative ways to drive improvement, and is unafraid to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. They are by nature a “people person,” with outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and a desire to oversee, build, and cultivate the interrelated people functions for our growing team. The SVP HR will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, partnering closely with the CEO and other leaders to align talent strategy with business priorities. They will be equal parts strategist and builder: able to shape culture, attract exceptional talent, and create scalable people programs that help teams perform at their best. We seek a leader who is not only deeply experienced in human resources, but also tech-savvy, data-driven, and fluent in how modern tools - including AI - can improve recruitment, employee experience, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. They will oversee a small team and should be energized by change, comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels, and excited to build a high-impact people function that is ready for where work is going, not where it has been. This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is located in Chicago, IL with a hybrid schedule that includes at least three in-office days each week, plus additional onsite time as needed to support business priorities. What You’ll Own: Human Capital Strategy Partnering with the CEO and other senior leaders, you will set the strategic vision for Everspring’s human capital, covering talent, organizational design and structure, compensation, onboarding, training, development, and culture You will act as a trusted advisor to leadership and bring new and creative thinking to help drive growth You will translate that vision into actionable processes, policies and capabilities and lead the HR team to execute the changes necessary to put them into practice Talent Acquisition & Development Build and lead a forward-looking talent strategy aligned to Everspring’s growth goals Oversee full-cycle recruiting across functions, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience and strong hiring outcomes Develop and execute a strategic plan backed with market data and talent insights to maintain Everspring as an employer-of-choice Strengthen new hire onboarding program to accelerate productivity, engagement, and retention Partner with leaders to identify current and future talent needs, succession opportunities, and capability gaps Design and scale leadership development, performance management, career pathing, coaching, and learning programs Lead all core HR functions, including employee relations, policies and practices, compensation, benefits, compliance, performance management, and organizational development HR Operations Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on organizational design, team effectiveness, change management, and employee matters Lead compensation strategy, including market benchmarking, pay philosophy, and program design, to ensure Everspring attracts, retains, and rewards top talent competitively and equitably Oversee all aspects of Everspring’s comprehensive benefits and incentive programs to ensure competitiveness and that they deliver strong employee value Drive a strong, connected culture that reinforces Everspring’s values, accountability, and high-performance standards Manage all aspects of the HR budget, including setting and monitoring progress against Key Performance Indicators while adhering to strong operational discipline Champion modern HR systems, workflows and tools that improve efficiency, insight, and employee experience Identify opportunities to responsibly use AI and automation across people operations, recruiting, talent development, and internal processes Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in business or human resources a plus. S-PHR or SHRM-SCP Certification required. 10 or more years of progressive experience in human resources leadership, with proven experience in the areas of responsibility listed above Experience supporting mid-sized services-based businesses, ideally in an e-commerce, advertising, technology, and/or customer-service focused industry Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills Strong operational and project management skills, with the ability to move seamlessly between strategy and tactical execution Highly organized, self-directed, and action-oriented, with an ability to work with employees at all levels in a range of functions Demonstrated record of managing to budgets, goals, and timelines in a data driven, performance focused organization Familiarity with HRIS systems like Paylocity, reporting tools, emerging technology and practical applications of AI in business and HR environments Preferred qualifications: Outstanding personal leadership skills Experience leading the HR function in mid-sized, PE-backed companies (150-200 FTEs) Advanced degree or MBA Experience scaling the human resources function for a fast-growing organization Experience in educational technology or services a “plus” The base salary hiring range for this position is: $175,000-$210,000 We offer benefits that include a hybrid work arrangement, paid parental leave, medical, dental and vision insurance, FSA, HSA, employer-paid short-term and optional long-term disability, 401(k) with an employer match vested immediately, a generous PTO plan that accrues with tenure, professional development, tuition reimbursement program, discounted onsite gym, optional pet insurance and more!
