Senior Video Editor (Editing Lead)

Accurate Pal is a remote post-production studio based in Malang. We edit for creators, SaaS companies, and AI brands, mostly in the United States: long-form YouTube, short verticals, podcast episodes, and brand pieces. We have four editors, one studio owner, a centralized production app, and Frame.io for review. We are looking for a Lead Video Editor to drive our daily operations, guide our editing team, and set the creative standard.

What the job actually is You are an editor, but your number one priority is team leadership and creative direction. On a normal day:

• Concept Creation (The most important part): New work arrives overnight from US clients, often just raw A-roll with no concept or brief. Your primary job is to build the concept from scratch, visualize the final product, and write clear, detailed briefs for the team.
• Task Delegation: By 13:00, you have turned those concepts into 15 to 20 clear tasks in our production app, each with a deadline, a format list, and an assigned editor.
• Review & Direct: Editors send rough cuts throughout the afternoon. You give short, specific, and fast feedback: "cut 2 and 5", "tighter on the intro", "wrong font, the brand kit is in the folder".
• Hands-on Editing: While you are a leader first, you are still a core editor. You will step in to edit full videos when the queue requires it, or open a Premiere Pro/After Effects project to make adjustments yourself.
• Quality Control: Before 23:00, you watch every delivery against its brief and sign it off, or send it back with the exact reason it missed the mark.

What the job is not: Client calls. Client contact stays with the studio owner.

Hours 13:00 to 23:00 WIB, Monday to Friday. Weekends are off, really off. The shift is fixed because the work is: editors start at 13:00 and client feedback lands in the evening.

Pay USD 600 per month as a starting base. We offer performance-based salary increases as you grow in the role and successfully manage the team's output. The day's tasks being on the board before 13:00, editors coming to you for guidance, and deliveries going out on time are the key metrics for this growth.

What we are looking for

• 3+ years of hands-on video editing.
• Advanced Software Skills: Expert in Premiere Pro and highly proficient in After Effects. You must know After Effects well enough to properly review, troubleshoot, and correct complex compositions.
• Creative Visionary: You can take raw footage with zero instructions and turn it into a compelling concept and a structured brief.
• Leadership Experience: You have handed out work to other editors before (even informally) and know how to guide them.
• Communication: Written English that an editor can follow without asking twice. The team writes in English.
• Reliability: Based in Indonesia, on a stable connection, and able to strictly hold the 13:00 to 23:00 shift every working day.
• Quality Assurance: Comfortable sending work back to editors—politely, but with exact reasons, before the client ever sees it.
