Job Description This is a remote position. A client in the Technology Infrastructure and Cloud Services sector is seeking an experienced Virtualization Engineer to design, deploy, and manage virtualized environments that support enterprise scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency. ​ Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain virtualized environments using platforms such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM. Manage server consolidation, clustering, and resource optimization to ensure performance and scalability. Integrate virtualization platforms with storage, networking, and backup solutions. Monitor system health, capacity, and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives within virtual environments. Implement and maintain security best practices for virtual machines, hypervisors, and management consoles. Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to streamline automation and improve deployment efficiency. Provide technical support to customers and reseller partners on virtualization design and troubleshooting. Requirements Ideal Profile: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent field. 5+ years of experience in virtualization engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure operations. Hands-on expertise with VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, or other enterprise virtualization platforms. Familiarity with storage technologies (SAN/NAS), networking, and backup solutions. Strong understanding of datacenter operations, cloud integration, and automation tools (PowerCLI, Ansible). Knowledge of security controls and compliance frameworks within virtualized environments. Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or CompTIA Server+ are a plus. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
