Technical SEO and Analytics | Insoftex
Remote | Part-time engagement with an initial audit phase and long-term support
About the role
Insoftex is seeking an SEO Engineer to support a custom-built B2B web platform targeting businesses with 20–250 employees. This is a part-time engagement. We expect a higher workload at the beginning for the initial audit, analysis, and setup, followed by a lower, ongoing workload for long-term support, regular data reviews, and recommendations.
You will own SEO analysis, specifications, and verification, working with an application developer who implements source-code changes. This role suits someone who can connect technical findings to clear priorities and measurable user actions.
What you will do
- Audit priority pages for crawlability, indexability, titles, descriptions, headings, internal links, and relevant structured data. Identify performance issues and distinguish urgent fixes from later improvements.
- Research search intent and keywords relevant to HR, people operations, workplace relationships, and company culture. Map opportunities to existing pages or proposed landing pages.
- Review Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console. Define meaningful conversion events and work with the developer to implement and verify them. Use Microsoft Clarity to investigate user journeys where available.
- Write clear implementation tickets with acceptance criteria; verify the resulting website and tracking changes. You will not be expected to deploy application code.
- Recommend relevant business directories, prepare approved listings, and manage submissions through client-owned accounts.
- Where included in the engagement, research relevant guest-post opportunities and conduct editorial outreach. Coordinate with writers; do not promise placements or purchase links without approval.
- Produce concise reports covering completed work, evidence, data limitations, and prioritized next steps.
Required experience
- Hands-on technical and on-page SEO experience for custom-built websites or web applications, beyond CMS plugins.
- Working knowledge of how JavaScript rendering can affect crawling and indexing, plus HTML metadata, canonicals, redirects, robots directives, sitemaps, and structured data.
- Practical experience with GA4, Google Search Console, event validation, and an SEO crawling tool. Ability to separate observations from assumptions when traffic is limited.
- Keyword research and search-intent analysis, with examples of actionable recommendations.
- Ability to collaborate with developers and communicate findings clearly in writen and spoken English.
- An evidence-based approach to outreach and reporting, without ranking guarantees or spam tactics.
Useful additional experience
- B2B SaaS, HR technology, assessments, or similar products.
- Microsoft Clarity, Google Tag Manager, and JavaScript troubleshooting.
- G2 or other relevant product directories and editorial outreach workflows.
- Coordinating SEO briefs with external English-language writers.
Initial engagement outcomes
Final quantities and dates will be agreed at kickoff. The initial assignment is expected to produce:
- An access and baseline assessment, priortized SEO findings, and a practical implementation plan.
- A keyword-to-page map and metadata recommendations for the agreed priority pages.
- A measurement plan and verified tracking results, delivered jointly with the appliction developer.
- A log of agreed directory submissions and their status.
- A handover report and a prioritized plan for any ongoing work.
Success will be assessed through the quality of recommendtions, verified implementtion, reliable measurement, and clear communication. Longer-term traffic and conversion trends will be interpreted against the baseline and available data.
