Our products include specialist equipment for the meat processing and livestock industries, as well as cable spiking equipment used in the utilities and infrastructure sectors.

This is a home-based service engineering role, with responsibility for servicing and supporting customers across the North of the UK. The successful candidate should ideally be based north of our Sutton Coldfield headquarters to support initial training and occasional visits to the factory when required.

The successful candidate will initially complete a structured training programme at our headquarters in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, developing specialist knowledge of our products and service procedures before transitioning to the home-based mobile role.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical engineering background to develop their career within a specialist engineering business, gaining experience across service engineering, fault finding, customer support and technical training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, mechanical fault finding and repairs to equipment
  • Conduct customer site visits and provide technical support
  • Deliver product training to customers when required
  • Complete service documentation and reports accurately
  • Identify customer requirements and opportunities for additional services, parts and solutions
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships through professional service delivery

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a mechanical service, maintenance or engineering role
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout the North of the UK, including Scotland, with regular overnight stays as part of the role
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Ideally based north of our Sutton Coldfield headquarters
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities
  • A proactive and professional approach to work

What We Offer

  • £30,000–£32,000 salary
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Company van and company credit card provided for business travel and expenses
  • Private healthcare
  • Comprehensive product training and ongoing development
  • Career progression opportunities within an established specialist engineering business
  • Home-based role following completion of initial training
  • The opportunity to develop specialist engineering skills across a range of specialist mechanical and technical products

If you're looking for a varied engineering role that combines technical expertise, customer interaction and travel across northern England and Scotland, with opportunities to develop specialist skills and progress your career, we'd be pleased to hear from you.
