  • Integrate environmental, health, and safety planning into field investigations, laboratory programs, remediation construction, system operations, emergency response, and other site activities.
  • Ensure technical approaches and deliverables align with applicable federal and state requirements and customer procedures, including programs governed by CERCLA, RCRA, underground storage tank requirements, and other site-specific authorities.
  • Establish project governance, quality-management, independent technical-review, and data-quality processes that produce accurate, consistent, auditable, and implementation-ready work products.
  • Advise project teams on conceptual site models, data-quality objectives, remedial alternatives, treatability and pilot studies, lifecycle costs, sustainability, regulatory strategy, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and long-term remedy performance.
  • Build, mentor, and retain a multidisciplinary team of engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, chemists, toxicologists, risk assessors, environmental scientists, health and safety professionals, data specialists, construction managers, and project managers.
  • Plan workforce capacity, identify critical skill gaps, support recruiting and professional development, and coordinate resources across offices, laboratories, subcontractors, business areas, and partner organizations.
  • Maintain trusted relationships with federal program executives, contracting personnel, installation leaders, regulators, public health and resource agencies, tribal representatives, community stakeholders, and teaming partners.
  • Lead capture and proposal activities for strategic federal opportunities, including market positioning, client engagement, solution development, teaming, technical approaches, staffing plans, bases of estimate, risk reviews, and oral presentations.
  • Monitor market, policy, regulatory, funding, scientific, and technology developments affecting federal remediation and environmental health programs and translating them into service offerings and investment priorities.
  • Champion innovation and technology-enabled delivery by identifying, evaluating, piloting, and scaling practical solutions that enhance technical quality, data integrity, decision-making, project efficiency, lifecycle cost, and environmental outcomes.

  • Travel periodically to federal facilities, installations, project sites, client offices, and industry events while complying with applicable safety, security, ethics, medical-clearance, and information-handling requirements.
