Hourly Rate: $80 - $90 + Super
Contract Length: 12-months (plus 2 x 12 month extensions)
Location: ACT/Fully Remote
Must be Australian Citizen and able to obtain Baseline Clearance
An excellent opportunity for an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join a major Federal Government technology environment supporting the ongoing development, enhancement and sustainment of an enterprise ServiceNow platform.
Working across both BAU and project delivery, you'll be responsible for developing new functionality, improving existing solutions, resolving complex platform issues and supporting the transition of new services into production.
The role can be performed from Canberra or fully remotely, subject to agreed working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, configure and enhance ServiceNow solutions across ITSM and HRSD
- Build and maintain workflows using Flow Designer, Business Rules and automation
- Develop client scripts, catalog items, notifications and UI components
- Develop and enhance customer-facing ServiceNow portals
- Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow solutions
- Investigate and resolve complex incidents, defects and platform issues
- Develop and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and IntegrationHub
- Work with Service Bridge and data synchronisation solutions
- Proactively monitor platform performance, stability and reliability
- Deliver user stories, enhancements and technical work packages
- Participate in ServiceNow major and minor upgrades
- Produce and maintain technical documentation
- Work closely with vendors, technical teams and business stakeholders
- Mentor team members and contribute to ServiceNow capability uplift
About You
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) - mandatory
- Strong commercial experience as a ServiceNow Developer
- Demonstrated hands-on experience across ITSM and HRSD
- Strong ServiceNow development and configuration experience, including:
- Flow Designer
- Business Rules
- Client Scripts
- Catalog Items
- Notifications
- UI components
- Customer-facing portals
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, development standards and best practices
- Experience developing integrations and process automation
- Experience with REST and SOAP APIs
- Experience with IntegrationHub, Service Bridge or similar data integration solutions
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and deliver quality technical outcomes with limited direction
