ServiceNow Solution Architect — HAM/SAM About the Role NewRocket is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Solution Architect with expertise in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM). This role leads the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable asset management solutions that help clients optimize technology investments, improve asset lifecycle visibility, strengthen governance, and maintain software-license compliance. The Solution Architect serves as a trusted technical advisor to clients and delivery teams, translating business requirements into practical, sustainable ServiceNow solutions aligned with platform and industry leading practices . Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Solution Architecture & Client Advisory Serve as the primary technical point of contact and key interface for ServiceNow HAM, SAM, ITAM, CMDB, ITOM, and ITSM solution delivery. Lead end-to-end solution architecture for ServiceNow HAM and SAM engagements, from discovery and requirements definition through implementation, deployment, and optimization. Define technical architecture and solution designs that align client business requirements with ServiceNow and industry leading practices. Prepare and facilitate customer workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, architecture reviews, and technical design discussions. Translate business and functional requirements into scalable solution designs, technical specifications, implementation plans, and prioritized roadmaps. Provide technical guidance to clients on hardware and software asset lifecycle processes, governance, data quality, compliance, and optimization. Draft use cases, functional requirements documents, technical design documents, and implementation requirements. HAM/SAM Solution Delivery Architect ServiceNow HAM solutions supporting the complete hardware asset lifecycle, including request, procurement, receiving, stockroom management, assignment, inventory, transfer, refresh, return, retirement, and disposal. Architect ServiceNow SAM solutions supporting software discovery, normalization, software model management, license entitlements, reconciliation, compliance, reclamation, and optimization. Design asset-management solutions that align HAM and SAM capabilities with related ServiceNow products, including CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, ITSM, Service Catalog, Procurement, and ITOM. Define strategies for trusted, accurate asset and configuration data across ServiceNow, endpoint-management tools, procurement platforms, ERP systems, discovery tools, and other authoritative sources. Establish data governance and process controls to improve the completeness, accuracy, and auditability of hardware assets, software installations, entitlements, contracts, and CMDB data. Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, data-quality issues, integration gaps, and process-governance concerns throughout the engagement. Delivery Leadership Ensure team organization, communication, and individual development align with NewRocket’s Delivery vision. Foster a high-performing, collaborative delivery environment across architects, developers, project managers, and client stakeholders. Collaborate with Delivery Management to create plans that achieve customer outcomes within agreed scope, budget, and timelines. Provide engineers with architectural blueprints, technical requirements, data models, integration specifications, and implementation guidance. Oversee solution quality across configuration, customization, integrations, data migration, testing, security, and deployment activities. Deliver measurable client and team outcomes, including improved asset visibility, lifecycle control, software compliance, cost optimization, and operational efficiency. Research industry trends, ServiceNow platform capabilities, and innovative opportunities to recommend solution enhancements and continuous improvements. Your Experience 8–12 years of experience in IT services, enterprise architecture, consulting, or solution delivery. At least 4 years of hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform. Significant experience implementing or architecting ServiceNow HAM, SAM, ITAM, or related asset-management capabilities in enterprise environments. Strong knowledge of hardware asset lifecycle processes, including procurement, receiving, inventory, stockroom operations, deployment, reclamation, refresh, and disposal. Strong knowledge of software asset-management processes, including software discovery, normalization, software models, publisher content, entitlements, license reconciliation, compliance, and optimization. Experience with ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM principles, including the alignment and governance of asset and configuration data. Experience implementing integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems, such as ERP and procurement platforms, endpoint-management tools, discovery tools, contract-management systems, and software-license data sources. Familiarity with ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB capabilities, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Cloud Management, Orchestration, CMDB, and CSDM. Experience with ServiceNow platform configuration and scripting, including JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and REST/SOAP APIs. Experience with integration technologies and protocols, including SSO, SAML, SSL/TLS, web services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, SOAP, SCP, and FTPS. Ability to create clear architecture diagrams, technical designs, data flows, and implementation documentation. Strong client-facing communication, workshop facilitation, requirements analysis, and stakeholder-management skills. Passion for technology and applying sound engineering principles to the design and delivery of managed services. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) preferred. ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certifications in Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management, or related product areas strongly preferred.
