About the Role
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented SharePoint Online Power User with strong hands-on expertise to continue ongoing maintenance and development of recently migrated SharePoint Online pages. This role is in support of a federal government contract and will work alongside a team of SharePoint Online experts and project managers to refine, improve, and perfect the end-user experience and navigation. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the government’s modernization efforts by ensuring high-quality page enhancements where automated tools cannot be used. This position requires a strong understanding of SharePoint’s structure, content types, web parts, and permissions.
This is a full-time, exempt position working a remote schedule of 9AM-5PM or 10AM-6PM Eastern Time. Remote opportunities are only available to candidates residing in the following states: Arizona, Texas, Florida, North Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C., New York, or Delaware.
Position Overview
• Design, organize, set up, and maintain site structure.
• Manage and enhance user navigation, including control menus and links.
• Apply agency branding, themes, colors, and logos to achieve overall desired visual page style.
• Build, adjust, and configure page layouts and components.
• Manage and apply appropriate internal and external permissions for access and editing content.
• Organize content and metadata, structuring documents and tagging information for search optimization.
• Manage document lifecycle, overseeing versioning, retention, and disposal of content.
• Add and configure web parts, including functional modes (lists, libraries, etc.) to pages.
• Support and provide guidance to end users to maximize user navigation and overall experience.
• Monitor analytics and performance by tracking site usage and ensuring ease of end user navigation.
• Set and apply retention, DLP, and compliance requirements for legal and data protection.
• Manage and configure search elements, settings, keywords, and results.
• Develop and maintain Microsoft Power Apps solutions, including customized SharePoint forms and low-code applications that streamline data collection, approvals, tracking, and operational workflows.
• Build and optimize Power Automate workflows to automate approvals, notifications, document routing, task notifications, document routing, task assignments, data updates, and other repetitive business processes across SharePoint and Microsoft 365.
• Provide support and troubleshooting to site owners and users through Q&As, quick-reference guides, office hours, documentation, and training.
• Track and submit time accurately in company time keeping system (Unanet).
Required Qualifications
• Ability to obtain Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Public Trust clearance.
• Demonstrated experience working with SharePoint Online, especially around site structure, publishing features, and web parts.
• Proven ability to manually recreate SharePoint pages in the modern SharePoint Online framework.
• Experience with Sharegate or similar migration tools (training can be provided).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint Online administration, such as permission structures, site settings, and content types.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage page inventories and migration logs.
• Ability to work independently and communicate progress and blockers effectively to project leadership.
• Ability to learn new tools quickly and follow structured processes.
Preferred Qualifications
• Active or recent Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Public Trust clearance.
• Experience working with federal contracts, strongly preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 GCC or GCC High, preferred.
• Microsoft 365 and/or SharePoint Online certification(s).
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or similar.
