Role Description The Shariah Wealth Planner is a full-time, hybrid role based in Damansara, with the flexibility to work from home for certain tasks. The role involves meeting clients to understand their financial goals and risk profiles, and designing Shariah-compliant wealth plans, including Takaful and other Islamic financial solutions. Daily responsibilities include conducting needs analysis, preparing proposals, presenting tailored recommendations, and supporting clients through onboarding and policy servicing. The planner will monitor clients’ portfolios, provide regular reviews, and ensure ongoing compliance with Shariah principles and relevant regulations. The role also includes collaborating with internal teams, participating in training, and engaging in business development activities such as networking, seminars, and digital outreach.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Shariah-compliant finance, Takaful concepts, and Islamic wealth management principles.
  • Proficiency in client advisory skills, including financial needs analysis, portfolio review, and solution presentation.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills to build trust, explain complex concepts clearly, and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Analytical and organizational skills to assess financial information, prepare accurate proposals, and manage multiple client cases efficiently.
  • Comfort with digital tools and basic office software for documentation, reporting, and virtual client meetings.
  • Relevant academic background in finance, economics, business, Islamic studies, or a related field; professional certifications in financial planning or Islamic finance are an advantage.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, with a strong sense of integrity and accountability.
  • Previous experience in Takaful, insurance, banking, or wealth management is preferred, but motivated candidates with strong learning capacity are encouraged to apply.
