About the Role Glimmr is hiring a full-time, in-house Short-Form Video Content Creator and Social Media Manager to lead the creation and growth of our presence on TikTok and Instagram. This is a dedicated creator position. You will be responsible for ideating, filming, editing, and publishing original short-form video content on a daily basis, and for managing and growing our social media channels and community. This is a relatively new type of role in our industry. Rather than relying on freelance creators or outside agencies, Glimmr is investing in a single, dedicated team member to serve as the primary on-camera presence for the brand and to own our short-form content from concept to publication. We will provide equipment, content budgets (as needed), and the support of an established marketing and creative team. Your job is to ideate and create content but you will also have a team of designers, video editors, influencer marketers, and photographers behind you to help you create a beautiful social media feed. As the face and voice of Glimmr on social media, your content will often be the first impression a customer has of the brand. This is a high-visibility, high-output role that brings together on-camera talent, creative judgment, and consistent daily execution. It is best suited to an experienced video creator who is ready to focus their craft on a single brand and build a body of work that drives measurable audience and revenue growth. This is a content creator and social media role. Customer service, photography, and graphic design are handled by separate teams which you will delegate to, which allows you to dedicate your full attention to producing high-quality video and growing our community. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary on-camera talent for Glimmr, creating hair tutorials, mini vlogs, behind the scenes video, talking-to-camera and voiceover videos, trend-driven content, educational beauty content, and other videos. Think of yourself as a beauty and lifestyle content creator. Own short-form video production end to end, from concept through filming, editing, and publishing across Instagram Reels and TikTok. Publish original short-form content on a near-daily basis across isntagram and TikTok. Create video content to support promotions, campaigns, and new product launches, in collaboration with the marketing manager and creative team. Grow Glimmr’s TikTok and Instagram accounts, expand reach, and build an engaged community. Manage day-to-day community engagement, including responding to comments and direct messages. Maintain the social media content calendar and contribute to the broader marketing calendar in coordination with the marketing manager. Develop and execute short- and long-term content strategies to grow audience, engagement, and reach. Monitor content performance and use insights to continuously refine the content strategy. Required Qualifications A natural and engaging on-camera presence and demonstrated, hands-on experience creating short-form video for TikTok and Instagram Reels, supported by a portfolio of work. Strong video editing skills and a sharp understanding of hooks, pacing, and current trends. Ability to independently manage the full content process, from concept through publication. A track record of consistent, high-volume content production. A strong understanding of how short-form video and social media growth work today. Preferred Qualifications Experience creating beauty or haircare content, a background as a hair stylist or hair professional, or a genuine personal passion for beauty and hair. Experience growing a brand or personal social media account from an early stage. Located in or near Ann Arbor, Michigan (not required; this is a fully remote position). Location and Schedule Fully remote. Open to candidates located anywhere in the United States. Candidates in or near Ann Arbor, Michigan are a plus, but this is not a requirement. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, with occasional weekend availability if needed. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Compensation Salary: $80,000 to $115,000 per year depending on experience Bonus: Performance-based bonus. Type: Full-time, salaried, W-2 position. Equipment Provided Glimmr provides the equipment needed to perform the role, including camera, lighting, microphones, and a computer. The successful candidate will use their own smartphone.
