Short-Form Video Editor / Livestream Clipper

Treantly is a Canadian-based recruitment agency that facilitates the connection between businesses in North America and exceptional remote staff in the Philippines. We are looking for a creative, fast, and internet-savvy Short-Form Video Editor / Livestream Clipper who can turn long livestreams, recordings, and creator content into engaging clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook. This role is more than basic video editing. We need someone who can watch long-form content, identify the funniest, most emotional, intense, awkward, dramatic, or entertaining moments, and edit them into short-form videos that make people stop scrolling. The ideal candidate understands livestream culture, creator content, TikTok pacing, meme formats, Twitch/Kick-style humor, and how to make simple moments feel more exciting and shareable without misrepresenting the original context. Key Responsibilities Review livestreams, recordings, and long-form videos to find strong clip-worthy moments Identify high-retention hooks, funny moments, emotional peaks, reactions, and viral-style snippets Edit short-form clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook Use captions, zoom-ins, jump cuts, sound effects, memes, music, and visual emphasis to increase engagement Create strong openings that grab attention within the first few seconds Format videos properly for vertical short-form platforms Apply trending audio, meme formats, and viral editing styles when relevant Maintain the original context while making clips more entertaining Follow the client’s brand style, tone, and preferred editing format Deliver clips quickly and manage multiple edits or batches as needed Stay updated on livestream clipping trends, creator content, meme culture, and audience retention techniques Experience editing livestream clips, creator content, podcast clips, gaming clips, reaction videos, or short-form social videos Strong ability to spot “viral gold” from long-form content without needing exact timestamps Strong understanding of Twitch, Kick, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, creator culture, and internet humor Good sense of timing, emotion, humor, drama, pacing, and storytelling Experience editing for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, or similar platforms Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools Skilled in captions, zooms, sound effects, music, memes, transitions, and visual emphasis Able to work quickly, independently, and creatively Comfortable reviewing long livestreams or recordings to find the best moments Able to make clips more entertaining without making them misleading or fake Nice to Have Experience editing gaming, sports, gambling/card games, streamer, creator, or entertainment content Familiarity with meme-style editing and viral short-form formats Experience with AI clipping, auto-captioning, or content repurposing tools Basic motion graphics or thumbnail design skills Understanding of watch time, retention, engagement, and social media analytics Application Requirements Applicants must include: A link to a clipping portfolio, such as YouTube Shorts, TikToks, Instagram Reels, or similar samples A short explanation of one clip they made and why it performed well or had viral potential A few examples of creators, streamers, or brands with strong clipping teams and why their clips work What we Offer: Opportunities for growth and advancement Competitive compensation package, including MaxiCare HMO Work Hours: Full-time, Eastern Standard Time business hours, Remote
