About The Role
XPS Self Invested Pensions is part of XPS Group. We manage relationship with thousands of clients and hundreds of professional financial advice firms. We are only as strong as the people we employ. Key Responsibilities
- Working both independently, and inclusively as part of a BDM and wider team, promote and sell our SIPP, SimplySIPP and SSAS products to financial advisers.
- Pro-actively seek out and build strategic partnerships with DFM providers, their in-house advisers, bank platform providers and other investment partners for the benefit of BDM colleagues and wider business. Seek to maximise each opportunity in terms of long-term sales for SIP business.
- Focus on the Key Accounts already in place at XPS, with a special focus on St James Place and Openwork tied networks.
- Interrogation of marketing information, existing databases, FCA website, financial adviser websites and any other sources of information to identify business development opportunities. Including analysis of data produced from every financial adviser emailing, website hit data, and monthly reports.
- Proactively develop marketing materials, external ‘gatormail’ comms, press articles etc. Apply necessary diligence to ensure these require minimal amendments prior to sign-off and publishing.
- Develop monthly, weekly, and daily activity plans, and agree with Manager.
- Proactively plan and make outbound calls in order to establish new FA relationships that ultimately lead to SSAS/SIPP sales for BD function. Take inbound sales-based calls promptly and act with speed and professionalism.
- Work closely and harmoniously with internal SIP teams, including Business Development, Administration, Property, Systems, and Technical teams at all times, in order to establish and maintain excellent internal relationships and deliver seamless high-quality service to FA and clients.
- Keep relevant databases, including the CRM Workbooks, up to date daily with all actions taken (calls, emails, meetings, teleconferences) and ensure all leads are followed up expediently.
- Set up and maintain an accurate pipeline of potential sales and ensure all leads are followed up on a regular basis (at least once per month)
- Generate reports detailing activities undertaken in the month, identifying methods that have proven successful and otherwise. Feed learning into future plans.
- Where requested, review and engage with “Execution Only” clients by phone/email and adhere to all procedures and processes relating to EO clients.

- LinkedIn profile and understanding of how to maximise connections and actively use the tool to promote XPS Self Invested Pensions and our products in a professional capacity.
