Join CoolIT, an Ecolab Company, a global leader in Direct Liquid Cooling technology for data centers, supercomputers, and high-performance computing environments.
The Site Project Manager owns end-to-end delivery of CoolIT liquid-cooling deployments at assigned customer sites, from project handoff and site readiness through commissioning, customer acceptance, closeout, and service transition. This role is the primary project-management contact during execution and is accountable for the integrated site schedule, scope, cost, risk, customer commitments, change control, and coordination across CoolIT functions, customer teams, contractors, and Authorized Service Providers.
The Site Project Manager directs the Site Lead and Crew Leads as applicable to lead execution. The Project Engineer retains technical authority for commissioning methods, technical decisions and escalations.
What’s in it For You
- Day 1 Coverage: Employer-paid comprehensive benefits, including dental, prescription drug, vision, paramedical coverage, and a $1,000 annual Flexible Spending Account.
- RRSP: 2% employer-sponsored contribution.
- Enjoy three weeks of vacation, six flex days, and a one-week paid company-wide holiday shutdown.
- $1,000 Annual professional development allowance to support your ongoing learning, skill development, and career growth.
- Dress for your day in a casual, professional environment.
- Work in a hybrid environment.
What You Will Do
- Own field deployment project from formal handoff through commissioning, customer acceptance, financial closeout and service transition
- Develop and maintain site execution plan covering prerequisites, materials, access, mobilization, installation, commissioning, testing, documentation, and handover.
- Serve as the primary project-management contact for the customer, general-contractor and client sub-contractors, and internal stakeholders; maintain clear, no-surprises communication.
- Manage site scope, schedule, budget, forecasts, risks, issues, decisions, and changes; escalate early with clear impacts, options, and recovery actions
- Monitor site progress, productivity, constraints, non-conformances, and corrective actions without assuming day-to-day crew supervision.
- Ensure site execution complies with EHS and customer safety, security, and access requirements; escalate safety concerns and drive corrective action
- Own commercial awareness at site level, including out-of-scope work, customer-caused delay, change-order inputs, milestone acceptance, and cost-to-complete visibility.
- Drive punch-list closure, turnover documentation, customer training and acceptance, final reporting, lessons learned, and transition to lifecycle support.
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of project-management experience delivering complex construction, mission-critical infrastructure, mechanical/electrical systems, industrial equipment, or commissioning projects.
- Demonstrated ownership of project schedules, budgets, forecasts, risks, contracts, change control, and customer commitments.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, customers, contractors, suppliers, and field-service partners through execution and closeout.
- Strong customer-facing communication and the ability to lead difficult discussions constructively under schedule pressure.
- Ability to understand technical project information while relying on Engineering and Deployment Engineering for technical authority.
- Valid passport and ability to meet customer safety, security, and site-access requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent recognized credential.
- Experience in data centres, mission-critical facilities, EPC delivery, industrial construction, HVAC, process piping, utilities, or direct liquid cooling.
- Experience with hyperscale customers, multi-site deployments, project controls, schedule recovery, commissioning, and operational handover.
