Analyze Findings & Collaborate
- Evaluate evidence and determine appropriate claim disposition recommendations.
- Partner with claims professionals, customer service teams, insureds, claimants, attorneys, and vendors throughout the investigation process.
- Assist law enforcement agencies and refer cases to State Fraud Bureaus, the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), and other appropriate authorities when warranted.
- Process policy and customer transactions using multiple systems and databases.
Document & Manage Investigations
- Review new SIU referrals and develop strategic investigation plans.
- Maintain accurate claim documentation, investigative reports, and file notes.
- Track investigations through resolution while identifying potential claim exposure and risks.
- Prepare clear, concise reports, correspondence, and management summaries.
- Produce recurring reports and update SIU databases with investigation outcomes.
Promote Fraud Awareness
- Assist in the development and delivery of fraud awareness training programs.
- Conduct file reviews and provide coaching or guidance to claims professionals.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging fraud trends, regulations, and industry best practices through continuing education.
