We made history and now we work to transform the future – for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.

Racing is where our story began.

In 1901, Henry Ford climbed into a car he built himself—"Sweepstakes"—and beat America's most famous driver. He wasn't a racer, but he had to win. He did. Ford Motor Company was born from that victory.

That fighting spirit lives on in Ford Racing today. We're the engineers, strategists, and competitors who bring Ford's track-tested edge into every vehicle we build. Every track, every stage, every proving ground—that's where we prove ourselves.

The result: one of the world's most iconic brands, legendary nameplates, and a team unmatched in the industry.

Our mantra: Race to win, engineer to lead.

If you're a competitor, innovator, or performance obsessive, Ford Racing is where you belong. Help us write the next chapter.

In this position...

Ford Racing is seeking a Vehicle Launch & Quality Engineer with Six Sigma Black Belt expertise to drive process discipline and data-driven quality improvement across our Production Vehicle Programs. You will own quality planning, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives that ensure our highest-performance vehicles launch flawlessly—identifying defects before they reach the track, building repeatable processes that raise the bar for every future program and improve ongoing production.

What you will do...

  1. Lead DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) projects to resolve quality issues during prototype builds, vehicle launch phases and ongoing production.
    1. Partner cross-functionally with D&R engineers, PVT, Launch Team, Program Management, and supplier teams to drive root-cause corrective actions and eliminate recurring defects.
    2. Analyze launch and build data to identify trends, quantify process capability, and recommend design or process changes that improve first-time quality.
    3. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, coaching engineering teams on Lean/Six Sigma tools and methodologies to sustain long-term gains.

You'll have...

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, or related discipline) or equivalent.
    1. Six Sigma Black Belt certification or ability to earn within 6 months.
    2. 3+ years of experience in vehicle launch, quality engineering, or manufacturing process improvement.
    3. Demonstrated experience applying statistical analysis and root-cause problem-solving tools (e.g., DMAIC, FMEA, SPC, 8D, A3, 3L5W) in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
    4. Prior hands-on experience with prototype build events and physical validation testing.Top of Form
    5. Proficiency with using Microsoft Office applications and Minitab statistical software.
    6. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive accountability for corrective actions.
    7. A proven self-starter who thrives with minimal direction, proactively identifying priorities and driving initiatives forward with little to no oversight.
    8. A deep passion for motorsports and high-performance vehicle programs.

Even better, you may have...

  1. Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, or related discipline) or equivalent.
    • Experience supporting a vehicle program through launch and experience with improving ongoing production quality.
    • Working knowledge of enterprise engineering systems (FEDE, WERS, 3DX, Teamcenter, FMEA software, or similar).Bottom of Form
    • Design For Six Sigma certification
