This is a remote position.
Position Title: SMSF Accountant – Part Time
Work Set-up: Work from Home
Schedule: Mon- Fri , 7am – 11am PHT (VIC Holiday)
Salary: Php 30,000 – 40,000
About the Firm:
This is a small accounting firm located in regional Australia.They have around 60 Self-managed superannuation funds that they look after as well as tax clients.
Their client base is expanding and are now needing assistance to get work done.This role would be part – time at 20 hours per week.
Most funds are quite straightforward to process and don’t have any that are too complicated but you would be given a wide variety of work to do from funds with rental properties, farm land or just funds that have shares and managed funds.
All funds are processed on BGL 360 so it is important that you have had experience using this software.
JOB DESCRIPTION FOR AN SMSF ACCOUNTANT
Your Responsibilities as an SMSF Accountant would be:
• Processing of SMSF data manually or via data feed to trial balance stage
• Reconciling of investments and investment income
• Reconciliation of contributions, expenses, tax and pensions
• Preparation of SMSF financial statements and associated workpapers
• Preparation of SMSF income tax and regulatory returns
• Prepare and reconcile Business Activity Statements
Qualifications as a SMSF Accountant would be:
• 2-4 years’ experience in SMSF
• Highly organised
• Detail oriented
• Proven ability to with communicate with a variety of people at all levels of an organisation, as well as experience working with various clients at the same time
• Accuracy
• Time management
Software: Experience with the following platforms is highly regarded:
• Experience with MS office products, including Excel & Word.
• Extensive knowledge in Class Super or BGL Simpelfund360
• MYOB
• XEROMYOB
