SOC Engineer

Responsibilities: As a SOC Platform Engineer within our Adaptive MxDR service, you are responsible for the installation, configuration, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the SIEM/SOAR components that power our Security Operations Center in a 24x7x365 environment. You keep the detection and response platforms healthy, performant and fully fed with onboarded log sources, ensuring analysts always operate on reliable, well-tuned data.
Working from our EU Regional Delivery Center, you collaborate closely with SOC analysts, detection and SOAR engineers, and onboarding teams across our multi-platform stack (Google SecOps, Crowdstrike NG-SIEM, Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk), monitoring 50+ clients. You contribute to threat detection engineering and to the continuous improvement of a tierless, AI-augmented SOC.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, implement and maintain SIEM/SOAR components, including monitoring, configuration changes, account management, log-source management and software/patch updates.
Prepare log baseline configuration documents and verify and troubleshoot parsing issues for integrated devices.
Perform log-source and device health tracking, run health checks and produce weekly health reporting; manage the health status of SIEM components.
Onboard and normalize new log sources into the SIEM, review data ingestion and perform ingestion trend analysis.
Perform whitelisting and use-case fine-tuning based on inputs from the operations team, and create and maintain the SIEM use-case library.
Drive and support Change Management activities across the platform.
Provide subject-matter-expert support for the client SIEM solution and maintain up-to-date documentation of the current environment.
Assist with SIEM/SOAR application support and with log-collector / log-forwarder deployment and maintenance.
Support SOAR integration and content development, working with detection and SOAR engineers on custom integrations and playbook enablement.
Prepare technical reports specific to platform support, troubleshoot client monitoring solution issues and resolve log-source monitoring issues reported by the operations team.
Continuously monitor solution performance and recommend upgrades and optimizations to the client.
