Overview The Social Media and Content Specialist plays a key role in bringing NKPR’s and our clients’ stories to life across a range of digital platforms. This role combines creativity, strategy, and execution, turning ideas into compelling content that inspires engagement and builds community. Working collaboratively with PR and marketing teams, the Social Media and Content Specialist develops and manages content that aligns with brand objectives and drives meaningful results online. Key Responsibilities Work on all major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn,TikTok, etc.) Develop, manage, and execute content calendars and write copy for social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, website, blog, newsletters, etc) Create engaging and high-quality content and brand-appropriate copy, including graphics, videos, and written posts, tailored for each specific platform - with a strong eye for design and storytelling Manage real-time posting, monitoring, and community engagement (comments, DMs, mentions) Ensure the growth of social media channels and development of an engaged online audience Lead the execution of social media and newsletter campaigns, paid programs, promotions, and strategic partnerships Proactively research, recommend and, execute new and innovative social media strategies and tactics. Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in social media copywriting and content creation for editorial or brand accounts Background in Editorial, PR, or Marketing preferred Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences and brand objectives Highly creative thinker with proven ability to turn concepts into compelling content and campaigns Proficient in design and content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar) In-depth knowledge of social media trends, hashtags, engagement strategies, and platform best practices Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines Collaborative team player with excellent communication and relationship-building skills Familiarity with Toronto’s event, marketing, and PR landscape is an asset What We Offer Hybrid work model (4 days in-office) Open-concept, collaborative downtown workspace Professional growth and development opportunities Mentorship program Health and dental benefits Paid personal days Casual dress environment We highly recommend sharing a professional portfolio to add to your application.
