Social Media, Content & Lead Generation Specialist

Job Description This is a remote position. Business Address : USA Role Overview : We are seeking a creative, proactive, and skilled Virtual Assistant to support comedian and TEDx speaker Tara with social media management, short-form video editing, content creation, lead generation, and email marketing. The ideal candidate will transform Tara’s existing content into polished, engaging, and professional social media assets , help grow her online audience, maintain consistent marketing communications, and identify new performance and speaking opportunities. The successful VA should be highly independent, creative, and confident in video editing, social media management, content creation, and marketing asset development , with the ability to take ownership of tasks with minimal direction. The goal is to provide reliable day-to-day marketing support so Tara can focus on her performances, speaking engagements, travel, and creative work. Scope of Work : 1. Social Media Management Manage and maintain Tara Brown Comedy’s social media presence across: Instagram Facebook YouTube TikTok Repurpose existing long-form comedy and speaking videos into engaging short-form clips. Edit videos into platform-appropriate formats for Reels, Shorts, TikTok, and other social content. Create captions, hooks, titles, and relevant calls to action. Schedule and publish content consistently. Monitor engagement and identify opportunities to increase reach and follower growth. Help develop and implement strategies to grow Tara’s audience and online visibility. Research relevant trends and content formats that align with Tara’s brand and clean, faith-based comedy. 2. Video Editing & Content Creation Review existing video footage and identify strong, engaging moments for repurposing. Create polished short-form video clips from longer content. Add appropriate captions, graphics, transitions, branding, and other visual elements. Create supporting social media graphics and promotional assets as needed. Maintain consistency in visual style and branding across platforms. 3. Newsletter Creation & Distribution Create and distribute a professional newsletter approximately once per month using Mailchimp. Transform Tara’s ideas, updates, performances, and announcements into engaging newsletter content. Improve the visual presentation and overall professionalism of the newsletter. Create attractive layouts, graphics, calls to action, and other design elements. Manage scheduling and distribution through Mailchimp. 4. Lead Generation & Outreach Conduct web-based research to identify potential opportunities for Tara to perform or speak. Focus primarily on opportunities within the United States . Identify organizations and events that align with Tara’s niche, including: Churches and faith-based organizations Conferences and conventions Women's events Organizations seeking clean comedy Speaking engagements Events looking to incorporate comedy or entertainment Research relevant contacts and decision-makers. Build and maintain a qualified prospect/outreach list. Assist with personalized outreach to potential clients and event organizers. Track outreach activity, responses, and follow-up opportunities. 5. Marketing Assets & Media Kit Assist with updating and refreshing Tara’s media kit. Create professional promotional assets for use in pitching, social media, events, and speaking opportunities. Organize existing photos, videos, graphics, testimonials, credentials, and other promotional materials. Ensure marketing materials accurately reflect Tara’s brand as a clean comedian, TEDx speaker, and faith-based entertainer. 6. Basic Website Updates: - refreshing the copy on my website:and adding relevant content - basic website content update, such as refreshing copy and adding relevant content, so no coding or advanced web development skills would be required Qualifications, the ideal candidate should have: Strong experience in social media management and content creation . Excellent short-form video editing skills . Experience repurposing long-form videos into engaging social media content. Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. Experience with social media scheduling and audience-growth strategies. Strong graphic design and content-creation skills. Experience creating newsletters and email campaigns. Excellent research and lead-generation skills. Strong written English and communication skills. Ability to create polished, professional, visually appealing content. Strong attention to detail and organization. Ability to work independently and proactively identify what needs to be done. Creativity and good judgment when selecting content that fits Tara’s brand. Ability to understand and respect a clean, faith-based comedy brand . Previous experience supporting entertainers, speakers, coaches, authors, or personal brands is a plus. Tools Required, the VA should be proficient or comfortable working with: Canva - graphic design, social media assets, promotional materials, and media kit CapCut - short-form video editing and content repurposing Mailchimp - newsletter creation, design, scheduling, and distribution Social Media Platforms - Instagram. Facebook, YouTube, TikTok Web search and online research tools Tara currently has Canva and CapCut accounts, so the VA will be expected to utilize these tools effectively. Shifts & Hours : Starting with a minimum of 10 hours per week ; flexible shift Minimum commitment: 40 hours per month Social media content should be scheduled according to the optimal posting times for each platform. The VA should maintain reliable communication and provide updates despite the flexible schedule. Target Start Date: September 14, 2026, or shortly thereafter.
