Website: ( https://meaww.com/ ) (Western Entertainment Website) About the Role We are looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media Editor (Lead) to oversee daily social content production, strategy execution, and performance optimization. This role is ideal for someone who can lead a team, execute content across visual formats, and shape editorial output through storytelling, platform intelligence, and visual creativity. You'll drive the team managing our presence across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, and Snapchat, while also contributing as a visual content creator and multimedia storyteller. Requirements Key Responsibilities 1. Collaborate with editorial leads to prioritise content, manage publishing calendars, and coordinate social output with daily news cycles. 2. Lead and mentor a team of social media executives to ensure timely publishing across all relevant platforms. 3. Maintain brand voice and visual consistency across content formats, from static posts to reels and stories. 4. Create engaging multimedia content using tools like Canva, Photoshop, CapCut, or Adobe Premiere, including news graphics, photo posts, motion-based visuals, and social-first videos. 5. Contribute to short-form video workflows—writing basic scripts, overseeing edits, and ensuring platform-optimized output. 6. Collaborate with writers, editors, and video producers to translate story ideas into compelling visual assets. 7. Ensure visual content is aligned with publishing trends and audience retention goals. 8. Track platform performance through analytics dashboards (Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, etc.). 9. Deliver insights and recommendations to improve content reach, engagement, and retention. 10. Adjust content direction based on data, trending topics, and evolving platform algorithms. Requirements 1. 3–5 years of experience in social media content strategy and multimedia production, preferably in a media or entertainment setting. 2. Proficiency in content creation and visual design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, CapCut, or Premiere Pro. 3. Experience managing publishing schedules and teams across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms. 4. A strong understanding of viral formats, social-first storytelling, and audience engagement strategies. 5. Excellent organizational, communication, and creative problem-solving skills. Bonus Points 1. Prior experience in celebrity/entertainment journalism or digital publishing 2. Understanding of thumbnail design, SEO-friendly captions, and engagement hooks 3.
