The Social Media Manager owns QE Dubai, Sports City social media presence, building brand awareness and community engagement through compelling, on-brand content. The role plans and executes the social media calendar, engages with the school's online community, and tracks performance to continuously improve results.
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Planning & Creation
- Plan and manage a regular social media content calendar across relevant platforms.
- Create or coordinate the creation of engaging photo, video, and written content that reflects the school's brand and community.
- Ensure all content is on-brand, accurate, and aligned with the broader marketing strategy.
Community Engagement
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, professional manner.
- Build an engaged online community of current and prospective parents.
- Coordinate with the Parent Relations Manager and Admissions on parent-facing social content and enquiries.
Performance & Reporting
- Track social media performance (reach, engagement, follower growth, enquiry attribution) and report regularly to the Head of Marketing.
- Use performance data and platform trends to continuously refine content and posting strategy.
Campaign Support
- Support broader marketing campaigns and events with social media promotion and live coverage.
- Work with the Brand and Digital team to ensure consistent messaging across channels.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 2+ years' experience managing social media accounts for a brand, organisation, or school.
- Experience creating content (photo, video, copy) for social platforms.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools.
- As this is a temporary role you will need to hold a valid UAE Residence Visa.
- Strong creative and visual sense, with good copywriting skills.
- Confident using social platforms and basic content creation/editing tools.
- Responsive and personable, comfortable engaging directly with parents online.
- Organised, with the ability to plan and stick to a content calendar.
- Internal: Head of Marketing, Outreach Manager, Parent Relations Manager, Brand and Digital team.
- External: Current and prospective parents and the school's wider online community.
