Social Media & PR Support

Company Overview Our team runs marketing and PR for hospitality and wellness brands, with a strong focus on social media presence, press outreach, and influencer partnerships. We're a small, fast-moving team that values clear writing, sound judgment, and someone who can be trusted to run with the execution side of the work. Role Overview We're looking for a Virtual Assistant to take over the social media management and PR execution work currently handled in-house. This person will handle the day-to-day posting, community engagement, and outreach that keeps our social and press efforts running smoothly, freeing up the internal team to focus on strategy. We need someone a little more experienced and detail-oriented than a junior hire — someone who can exercise good judgment on tone and messaging, stay organized across multiple moving pieces, and execute reliably without things slipping through the cracks. Key Responsibilities • Post and manage content across social platforms, including Instagram Reels • Handle day-to-day community engagement (comments, DMs, audience interaction) • Write and send press releases and outreach emails • Draft and send newsletters via MailChimp • Conduct influencer outreach: researching Seattle-area influencers (via Instagram and Facebook groups) and negotiating rates and terms for partnerships • Create simple static graphics in Canva as needed • Manage and track tasks through Teamwork, with day-to-day communication in Slack Skills & Tools • Strong copywriting skills — this is the core skill for the role • Excellent organizational skills and sound self-judgment on tone and messaging • Comfortable pushing content out independently, with a bias toward getting things done accurately • Canva experience a plus (basic static design) • Metricool experience a plus — training provided (this is where content is scheduled/posted) • Slack knowledge a plus • Familiarity with Teamwork or similar project management tools a plus • MailChimp experience a plus • Creative and strategic thinking is a bonus, though the role is primarily execution-focused Why Join Assist World? 100% REMOTE $50 birthday bonus $200 testimonial bonus $500 entry monthly raffle NO TRACKER.
