The Job:
As the Social Media Producer you’ll get to lead the management, execution, and delivery of social media creative work across multiple brands within an in-house agency environment. This hybrid role is exclusively focused on social media and is responsible for producing and managing projects from intake through final delivery, ensuring work is strategically scoped, properly resourced, completed on time and on budget, and executed with a high level of quality.
This role partners closely with social strategy, content creators, editors, and cross-functional creative, product, and brand teams to bring social content to life across channels and campaigns. In addition to leading the production side of social content creation, including content shoot planning, shoot-day coordination, production book creation, product intake, talent and location scouting and related in-studio needs this person will also manage project workflows, timelines, and stakeholder alignment.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience managing social content production processes and workflow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. They are highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, keep teams aligned, and move work efficiently from concept to delivery.
Because this role includes hands-on production support, there is a strong preference for candidates located near the Towson Studio and available to work onsite as needed, as well as a willingness to travel to various on-site productions when needed.
You’ll get to:
- Support end-to-end social content production, including product intake, pre-production, shoot planning, shoot-day coordination, post-production, and final delivery.
- Lead project management for social creative projects across multiple brands, ensuring work stays on brief, on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
- Manage in-house and field social shoots, coordinating production logistics, crew, equipment, locations, products, talent, and other shoot needs.
- Build and manage production materials, including production books, call sheets, shot lists, schedules, and other shoot documentation as needed.
- Partner with producers, studio managers, resourcing, and operations teams to identify staffing, production, and workload needs.
- Collaborate closely with social strategy, content creators, project managers, producers, editors, creative teams, copywriters, designers, product teams, and brand partners to align on objectives, briefs, timing, and deliverables.
- Coordinate talent and location needs, including outreach, scheduling, releases, and on-set logistics as needed.
- Manage video and creative review cycles, routing content through necessary internal, brand, product, legal, and other approval processes.
- Coordinate post-production workflows with editors and creative teams, ensuring feedback is consolidated, communicated, and implemented efficiently.
- Help ensure content is developed with social-first best practices in mind.
- Bring creative problem-solving to production challenges and identify efficient ways to execute ideas within timing, budget, and resource constraints.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external production partners, vendors, freelancers, creators, and talent.
- Manage multiple projects and productions simultaneously while working effectively in a small, high-output team and fast-moving environment.
- Stay current on evolving social platforms, production techniques, creator trends, and emerging content formats.
- Work with Content Creators to maintain organized project files, production assets, footage, working files, and final deliverables.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed for content shoots, events, and on-location productions.
- Take on additional production and social responsibilities as the digital landscape and needs of the team evolve.
